Fitness-friendly vacation rentals in Lake Placid

Karen’s place was ideal for our weekend ski trip. Great location, all the right amenities, responsive host. Karen also provided great information on events around town and shuttle services. Would definitely stay here again.

We enjoyed our stay in Lake Placid and found the place very comfortable and well situated. I would stay here again. Check in was easy, and the property manager was very attentive and helpful. I recently watched an Arnold Schwarzenegger movie. All I can say is "We'll be back". The accommodation was perfect for us. The Guide House felt like a cottage, cozy and warm, within a beautiful town Lake Placid. The host, Karen, was kind and communicative. The location is superb. Our family vacation was great. Thank you.

The place was perfect for our family and their needs! The kitchen had everything we needed to prep a meal and the jacuzzi and sauna were great after a few long days at the ice hockey rink. Very spacious for five. Can't beat the location either!

This was our first trip to Lake Placid so we didn’t know anything about the location of this unit. However we were very pleased as it was within walking distance to many restaurants, stores and attractions surrounding Mirror Lake. The check in process was very easy and we were provided a great packet of information about local happenings for the week. We had a minor issue with an ironing board but it was resolved quickly. Gary’s place was as described and there was nothing out of order. Gary also provided a binder with even more attractions and hiking trails in the surrounding Lake Placid area. There was plenty of parking close to the unit and there was even 4 EV charging stations nearby. We packed our beach chairs and it was a short walk to the beach on Mirror Lake. The unit was clean and very comfortable and it felt like home. I would absolutely stay here in the future.

The condo/townhouse was right on a beautiful golf course with expansive views of the mountains and ski jumping complex as a backdrop. The condo was spacious; the jacuzzi and sauna were really nice perks. We could comfortably spread out as a group of six. Location was ideal as it was walkable to town while being in a quieter area. It would be a great place to stay to ski at Whiteface in the winter.

Gary's place had everything we needed for our ski vacation in Lake Placid! The location is very convenient and the view towards the mountain is beautiful. We truly enjoyed our stay and will happily return.

Very nice condo in a perfect location

We had a great stay here. The check in and out times were flexible which really maximized the time we had on our vacation. The location couldn’t have been better, town is just a few minute walk away! The amenities were also great, my family and I enjoyed taking out the kayaks. Overall great rental and could recommend.

It was overall a lovely stay and the place was perfect for the occasion. Much closer to town than expected, it’s like a 10min walk into the center of town. Felt right at home and made a few meals. The fireplace made it all perfect. Mostly everything needed was available, would suggest bring your own blanket, towels, first aid kit. Everyone was comfortable and just felt lucky to have such a nice spot for the family to enjoy lake placid. Check in and out was easy. Would def recommend.

Great location, very close to Mirror Lake and downtown. Place was clean, well maintained and is what you want a LP stay to be.

Gary’s place was everything we were looking for: wonderful view from the porch, great location, in a quiet area with plenty to do and within walking distance to many local attractions and restaurants. The space was clean, inviting, and well furnished and we would definitely stay again when in the area!

John has a one-of-a- kind 120-year-old home with great location & fascinating furnishings from his passions for music, guitars, painting, photography, flowers, plants, cars & motorcycles.

This home met all of our expectations, and the host, Nathaniel, exceeded expectations. Firstly, this home matched the photos and written description. We loved having a well stocked kitchen to cook all of our meals. The location was ideal for us, as it's only 10 minutes from Whiteface Mountain--we were here for U14 Easterns for Alpine Ski Racing so this home's location made those super early mornings SO much easier. The home is just as close to numerous hiking trails, which were super fun to explore in our spare time. Further, our host was top notch--friendly, accommodating (ie he leant us a piece of bakeware to borrow!), generous (he shared some freshly roasted coffee beans with us!), and enthusiastically responsive to my numerous inquires about everything and anything! We hope to explore the ADKs in the future and we would love to return to this home and have Nathaniel and his partner as our hosts!

The house was fabulous and exactly as described. It was worth it to pay the extra hot hub winter fee. So close to fantastic ski trails and overlooking a beautiful pond. We will definitely be staying there again!

I absolutely loved staying here for the weekend. There is plenty of room and it’s the best location. It was perfect to be able to use the garage for our bikes we brought. The bike shop is also next store if we needed anything. I also loved how close the lake was. A hop skip and a jump to get there. The huge deck was fun to hang out with friends. I’ll definitely be coming back next year!

We just had a wonderful stay at Christina's place in Au Sable Forks. The location is perfect—right between Ausable Chasm and Lake Placid—offering both privacy and easy access to local attractions. The house is spacious, spotlessly clean, and equipped with everything a family might need, from kitchen essentials to bedding. We couldn’t have asked for a better place to stay and highly recommend it to anyone visiting the area. We are definitely going back.

The house was very comfortable and well furnished. The Murphy bed in the office/bedroom was not quite as expected. Luckily there was plenty of room in the basement for my kids to sleep on the couch. The Murphy bed was not functional for sleeping. Everything was well stocked and we really appreciated having soaps And items available.

Another great stay at Chip and Allison's home! We love our yearly tradition of skiing Whiteface with our family and having an amazing place to stay! Would highly recommend!
