Guesthouse vacation rentals in Lake Michigan

We stayed at the Cozy Green Cottage over the Thanksgiving holiday week. We were looking for a quiet, peaceful cabin to get away to and this spot was perfect. I worked remote for the first half of the week and had no problem with her internet connection. We were able to do Zoom calls as well as stream movies. The cottage is super charming. It's over 100 years old and has many hand crafted details. Kitchen is small but totally functional for 2 people. Bathroom has a claw-foot tub with hand-held shower head. The grounds around the cabin are serene. This cabin is behind private homes but since this was off-season, no one was around. It is a short walk to the stairs that take you to Lake Michigan. We opted to drive down the road to a public access area right on the lake. Also very convenient. If you are looking to get away from the everyday buzz of life or need a no-distractions, quiet space to get a project finished, I recommend this cottage!

As a disabled veteran… I yearn to move to Michigan…I honestly do not want to leave this review because I do not want tourist to find out about this lil private secret place! Over the top amazing place to stay. Beautiful, comfortable and adorable! Seth and Kelsey were outstanding hosts and my husband and I were so impressed, these two should give lessons on how to be the perfect hosts!!! The food was amazing and they also slipped in a little birthday surprise for me. The property was so well maintained and the hot tub and fire pit were a welcome surprise and we enjoyed meeting other guests fixing s’mores!! I forgot to sign the guest book so will be back soon!!

We had a fantastic stay! The space was clean, spacious, and well-equipped with thoughtful extras that made traveling even easier. The host was incredibly friendly and communicative, ensuring we had everything we needed. One of the highlights was the fenced-in yard, which was perfect for our dog. We truly appreciated all the little details that made this stay comfortable and enjoyable. Highly recommend!

Loved our stay at The Rectory! The location was great; walkable to DePaul and close to restaurants, shopping, DePaul and Lincoln Park Zoo. The unit looks exactly like the photos. Instructions were clear for check-in and check-out. Will definitely come back. We enjoyed our stay!

This was a great little guest house! Loved the decor, and the lighting in the living room! Bathroom was clean! Loved the hot tub! The are seems pretty nice. Great shopping! Wanted something close to Chicago but not directly in the city and it's only an house drive away! I definitely enjoyed my time at this Airbnb! Agna is pretty quick with responding if you have a question. Would definitely book this one again!

Had a great stay. Lovely decor and very clean and easy to navigate. Close to National Park so served as good jumping off point for us. Clear communications and made us feel at home. Would recommend to others!

My partner and I had such a lovely stay! The home was beautiful and gave off such a calming atmosphere. Check in was very simple and we felt right as home as soon as we entered! Kelly and George were also very communicative, friendly, and quick to respond. We will definitely be back!!

Linda and Doug were exceptional hosts. Very warm and welcoming, gave great suggestions for to-do’s/food in the area. The cabin was the perfect size for two people and the bed was comfy! We hiked through the woods and had a fire - perfect overnight getaway. The place felt isolated which is exactly what we wanted. We would definitely revisit! Thank you both so much for such a warm welcome.

Joan's cottage was perfectly cozy and quiet for my short stay. I especially loved the charming kitchen and overall layout of the space. I only wish I could've stayed longer. I'll definitely book again next time I'm in South Bend!

Mimi’s guest house on Mission Peninsula was 10/10 stars! What a beautiful find - perfect location amongst local wineries- close to great restaurants and beautiful beaches. The property was peaceful and the guest house was just as perfect as pictured. We were lucky to get a chance to stay - can’t wait to go back!

Very nice, welcoming place in a great location in Evanston. High ceilings, very spacious.

Look no further. The Carriage House is exceptional… a comfortable space with artifacts harkening back to its origins. The Gardens are spectacular… winding pathways, fountains, benches, pools, statuary. Peace, tranquility, and serenity abound. Steve is a wealth of information and willingly engages with guests. Staying at Sanger House Gardens is reason enough to come to Milwaukee!

This was my second time and definitely not the last time I’ve stayed here. 5 minutes from boat launch on Webster. 15 minutes from numerous lakes. Jim is very responsive and easy to talk to. The house is tucked into a very quiet area. Neighbors are friendly as well.

This place is ideal for our stay in Sparta. We come to visit family and it is not far from downtown. This place is great for just my wife and I and already booked another stay.
