Chalet vacation rentals in Lake Michigan

The photos on the app simply don’t do this place justice. It is cute, homey, thoughtfully appointed with all the games, cards blender, pens, paper, cooking gear, paper plates/plastic cutlery you don’t have space to bring and often - even at an Airbnb rental- end up having to buy or do without. Boat launch in town is a 5 minute ( by boat) ride away so in a week, we launched once and landed once and fished every day. Already planning our next trip here.

Great little Chalet in the middle of the woods. Second time staying here and would love to come back for a third time. You cannot go wrong staying at Rachael's place:)

We stayed at the Chalet the weekend of Cherry Festival and found the price to be VERY reasonable. We were a party of 8 and felt comfortable with the space and bed layouyt (2 couples and 4 kids). The decor was very tasteful and we noticed all the little touches such as bringing extra dish soap over, fresh flowers in multiple places, and delicious, fresh cookies! There is a basketball hoop and campfire. They have a wonderful deck out by the lake, perfect for parents to hang out while the kids swim. Next time, we'll make use of the grill down by the lake and make a meal down there as well! Plenty to do on the property alone! Becky was very helpful when we wanted information on Sleeping Bear Sand Dunes and provided information on the area before we got there. Thanks for a WONDERFUL stay!

Carrie’s place was fantastic! Easily slept 12, easy to get to right off of a paved road.

there was plenty of room for seven people. the rooms were all big. there was enough stuff in the kitchen to use. the only thing I wish was a half bath upstairs people had to come down to use the bathrooms. but other than that it was great

Great place to gather when you need space! Plenty of bedrooms and bathrooms for everyone. We were in town for a family wedding. Lots of great places to sit and talk inside and outside too. Very close to Charlevoix and The Castle Event Center. Would be beautiful in the fall and winter!

The location is everything! Ski in/ski out really made this trip, especially if you have young kids who need frequent breaks. And the fire pit brought the non skiers out and helped make them feel apart of the activity. Inside was clean and accommodating. The kitchen is fully stocked with pots and pans. Driving to the cabin was difficult. 3 cars with 4 wheel drive got stuck with the fresh snow. Do not ignore the 4 wheel drive warning in the winter months!

What a perfect place to stay for a girls weekend with longtime friends who haven’t seen each other in a while!! The space is so cozy and the surroundings are very peaceful. Also loved how easy it was to get to Sleeping Bear Dunes, Glen Arbor, Traverse City, and more. I also thought I had a comfortable bed and comfortable pillows at my own house but the beds and pillows here were just FANTASTIC! I will be thinking about how comfy and cozy our stay was for a long time and hope to be back.

The Chalet was absolutely amazing!! The most beautiful, fun, family oriented place we have ever stayed at. They had absolutely everything you could need or want and the place was so much more amazing than the pictures could even describe. Jennifer was the best host to work with. She was kind, friendly and really wanted to make our trip memorable. We loved our entire experience and it made our wedding weekend absolutely amazing!!❤️

The house is beautiful with lots of extra room for the nine people we had. It's right across the street from Nubs Nob and you can see Boyne Highlands out of the back window. If you ski, this house is in the middle of it all.

Lovely updated home perfect for our family of 3. We had every thing we needed as well as incredible views of the sunrise and a 5 minute walk to the beach to view the sunset. Neighborhood is also very nice and quiet. Host was top notch, David was very responsive and provided excellent recommendations. Only criticism would be the cleanliness could have been better but David did reply quickly regarding our concerns to address it.

This house is super cute, comfortable, and has everything you might need. It is a fun place to stay for adults and children. During our stay we had a giant snow storm and one family staying with us had a vehicle not great in the snow. The owner was very responsive regarding having extra plows and went above and beyond in accommodating us. We were so grateful!

Easy in and out. The view is beautiful. We skied Schuss which is close to the cabin. We ate at Shorts Brewery… 10-12 minute drive!

Beautiful cottage and perfect place for the weekend. Brandy provided clear and helpful instructions that made check-in and overall stay super smooth. We were down for a bike race in the area and would love to come back next year!

A great place to relax and unwind!!

This was the best airbnb experience I've had in a while. Clearly Long Lake is made for summer fun, but I didn't feel like I was missing out as I have when I've stayed at other homes in the colder/off-season months. The lake was stunning. The hiking & bike trails were accessible & wonderful year round. I really loved the fireplace in the home. Building a big fire & watching the lake out the picture windows after working or hiking or exploring was just the best. The bed was cozy. The main floor of the home were inviting & felt like my place. I didn't get home sick at all. I really loved it! Check it out!

this was a beautiful place to stay for the weekend and only about 30 minutes from boyne! would definitely stay here again!

We unfortunately seen people complain about this place because of the spiders or the bees, little critters, etc… however it’s a chalet in the woods, cozy and comfy! Nice people all around and we really enjoyed the entertainment of the boats going up and down the channel. Will definitely come back and recommend to others. My wife and I stayed here for our anniversary getaway. I am so glad that we did! The property is absolutely beautiful. Everything was super clean and ready for our check in. We found everything we needed in the home, from kitchen items to a few bathroom items that we forgot to pack. We so appreciated the view of the lake, from inside and out on the deck and pier. Watching the sunset was priceless. The hammock was sleep inducing! This property is so serene, so peaceful, so gorgeous. I just can't say enough good things about it. Sierra was very communicative, approachable, responsive, and accommodating. She truly is a Superhost. We will definitely be staying here again! On a side note, treat yourself to a meal at Drift on Pine, just 10 minutes away, as it was one of the best meals we've had in a long time. Don't hesitate to book your stay here. It is everything that it is supposed to be and more.

Came down for a friends wedding and. The place was great clean and easy to check in. Host was quick to communicate and even offered a complimentary late checkout for us which was very nice after the late night festivities.
