Pet-friendly vacation rentals in Lake County

Worth every penny. The perfect spot to getaway where you still are alone in nature! Even though you won’t have cell service, the cabin is equipped with Wi-Fi! Works wonderful. When we first got the booking, Sarah messaged asking what brought us there and left us the cutest anniversary gift when we walked in on the table. Loved that there wasn’t a laundry list of tasks to do when checking out which made it really worth the trip too!! My dog LOVED their hill, and running up and down catching his ball and smelling all the different scents. Still within a hour drive to visit the dunes and National forest. We stayed for an extended weekend and it was perfect! Highly recommend

Great place and host.

Micheal was very quick to respond to me when I had a couple small issues. The place was nice and clean. The only possible negative is I don't think I would walk the neighborhood with my kids. Could just be me. Some of the houses were a bit run down, the ones right by Micheal are not though. Anyways, we really enjoyed ourselves! Still 5 stars. Anything Michael can control is 5 out of 5

Great, responsive hosts! The property is located on a beautiful, private lot and is equipped with everything needed for a getaway, any time of the year, whether it's for a party of one or a family; the hosts thought of everything needed for a short or long-term stay. The home has an open layout and offers beautiful views of a private lake and surroundings. I highly recommend the listing and will, definitely, come back in the future. The location was perfect! Just up the road from some family we were up visiting for thanksgiving!! We were comfortable and felt right at home during our stay! She left little gifts for the kids and treats for the dogs when we arrived! She was also very responsive to any questions I had!

Our group had a great time here! The space was nice. The cabin had everything we needed for a great weekend. The views were wonderful and it was all around a wonderful place. Thank you!!!!

Jonathan is a great host, respond to my questions on a timely manner. The place is the cleanest and very homey. Will definitely recommend.

Cheryl’s home was great for our family with young grandchildren. The sand provided hours of building and pretending fun. The sandy beach and shallow water depth was perfect for all the children from 2-8. They really loved jumping off the dock. The kayaks and paddle boats gave us time on the water. The large level grassy backyard was excellent for softball and tag. The bunk room was great for the grandkids to sleep together, leaving 4 bedrooms for adults. There was a pack n Play and a high chair for the youngest. There were many toys and games to play. The house hade cute decore with special touches to welcome us everywhere. We also appreciated the washer and dryer. The leather sectional was cozy for all of us. We also loved the fire pit for s’mores in the evening. We would like to have had more beach seating. The last two plastic Adirondack chairs were fatally cracked. I’m sure those are on Cheryl’s list to replace soon. Thank you for sharing your home with us Cheryl.

Host was very responsive to questions/needs as they came up. Was very accurate with description on property. Definitely would consider staying here again.

Very rustic and quiet! Loved the little convenient store, had everything you could need if you forget anything!! Grill and fire place right outside of our door. Plenty of space outside to walk around and hangout. Dim lighting inside cabin but we were outside so much it didn’t matter! Bathroom/shower was a very close walking distance and could see from our cabin which was great! Definitely would book again!

Franks place was exactly what I was looking for. Close to family nearby, space for my kids to run, and a house that felt like home. Couldnt recommend it enough! We did not end up using many amenities he had to offer, but they were readily available to us if we wanted. Will look foward to staying again in the future.

Great experience. A lot of deer, squirrels, and nature to take in. We enjoyed the peace and tranquility. Great responses to any questions. Would love to visit again.

Cute studio Condo that was perfect for 2 people and our dog Teddy. Close walk to marina and 5th Avenue beach. With windows open could hear Lake Michigan waves along with a cool beach breeze. Close to downtown restaurants and activities. Condo had cute beach themed decor and was stocked with everything we needed. Will definitely be back!

Such a wonderful place we had the best time. Comfortable surrounds, peaceful stay no drama. If we had questions the host was very responsive, accommodating and kind. Even offered us fresh salmon that he caught himself. I couldn’t say enough wonderful things about our host and our stay.

The cabin was better than we could have imagined. Beautiful place loved the wood stove for taking chill off it was over all very cozy and felt like home. Beautiful property and home everyone just loved the cabin.

This place has it in the name, its truly an amazing property. Karen is an incredible host and has thought of all the little details. Its clean, the beds are super comfortable, fully stocked kitchen, the deck is huge, there's an amazing fire pit overlooking the water and the water itself is crystal clear. The sunsets, breathtaking and you'll want to leave your day to day and just stay there. We had an absolute blast. Will look to rent again many times in the future. The view was gorgeous! It had snowed several inches and it was so white and peaceful! Great to sit with a cup of hot cocoa and just relax and take in the view! Very cozy and comfortable, we will come back again!

The stay had dawns place was amazing. She kept her self available and helped with everything I needed. Her place was so much better than expected. The large back yard and patio was a huge bonus as we spend the majority of our time there. The house was stocked with activities for adults and kids. She has everything from boards games, books and tv stock with dvds. There is plenty of room for everyone to sleep or just hang out. The neighbors connected to the back yard are amazing. If they get loud please do not call the police join them (they will welcome you to do so) or ask them to lower the volume. Upon meeting this good crowd they took our family on golf cart rides through out the trails and showed us where the swimming area is. A big thank you to Lisa and happy Birthday once more. Rodney kitchen (former Elvis impersonator, in Las Vegas) will sell you fire wood. Come explore and meet the best people while connecting with your people. I will be coming back if dawn says it ok.

This property is really nice, clean, and comfortable! Our family of five found this cabin a good fit with many things that made it feel like home away from home. Our young kids loved the tire swing and we all enjoyed the peaceful woods, decks, and fire pit. Note the kitchen is smaller but very well supplied for cooking. There are only four chairs at the table but one of us adults just stood for meals. The property is close to hiking trails, the lake, a grocery store, and other outdoor adventures. Overall, we’d absolutely come back!!

Awesome cabin in the woods surrounded by nature very cozy comfortable and private. We would definitely recommend this cabin to anyone looking to get out of town and relax.
