Private Beach Hut - Nahualcali Chacahua

JensRating, 5 stars3 months ago
The place that Jorge has built is amazing, it feels like a little escape from the busy life and you instantly start feeling relaxed. We really enjoyed the remoteness and privacy (there are basically no direct neighbors, the beach is almost always fully empty, only few times a day a person or an ATV walks/drives by). The hut, shower and toilet are very basic, but that just adds to the authentic feeling. He has 2 lovely dogs and a cat and he’s a great cook (we were lucky and had fresh fish every day)! What we loved the most is spending the evening with Jorge in his outdoor kitchen, either enjoying his food or even cooking together, and talking with him about his way of life :) Would definitely recommend and hope we can come again!

Casa Tata 3

AnaRating, 5 stars3 months ago
Chacahua is the most special place, easily our favorite place of our trip. Casa Tata is beautiful, peaceful and quiet, great shala for yoga and you get a private beach. The huts are lovely, with a good mosquite net and fan. Make sure to bring a lot of repellent because they are killer. It is a 20 min walk from the main town of Chacahua and all its restaurants. Would definitely come back.

Room 7 “GITaNA” best views @ Casa Gitana

TomRating, 5 stars3 months ago
The vibe at Casa Gitana can only be described as chill. Tucked a bit away from the town of Chicahua (~10-15 minutes walk down the beach or the main road), it's a great place for tranquility. It was hard to venture to town because Gitana was so relaxing. The pool and communal area are a great place to chill, read, and meet people. The staff is incredibly friendly, and they are always playing good music. Two of the staff, Noe and Martín, even played an incredible live music session on Sunday evening. There's also a yoga deck and a palapa on the beach with hammocks. Watching the sunrise was quite special every morning. The casa isn't next to the surfing in town, so you would have to walk with your board or rent a board at a place near the break (close to the entrance to the lagoon). If you don't mind the short walk or don't want to surf, I recommend staying here. We were only there for a couple of nights and wish we could have stayed for a couple more weeks! A very magical spot indeed.

Room 2 “SALeRO” ocean view @ Casa Gitana

GeorgeRating, 5 stars1 month ago
we loved our stay, very peaceful with very friendly and helpful people working and volunteering there. We had the beach at the front to ourselves with all the beach bars and restaurants a short walk away. There is a perfect open area with sea views for yoga and mediation with supplies provided. Don't miss the home made empanadas.

ElyseRating, 5 stars3 months ago
I highly recommend staying at Nathan’s cabana. The location is so peaceful and you literally wake up on the beach. The sunrise /sunset and night sky are stunning and the location is very private. Nathan was so kind and helpful with helping me with directions, but due to the remote location I had no cell service, so I would recommend taking screenshots of the directions, info, WiFi password, and everything in advance. I recommend taking out plenty of cash before arriving because cards are not accepted most places (the supermarkets do accept cards). It is a bit challenging to get there at night due to the hours the boat and collectivo bus run and the location was hard to find in the dark, so try to arrive during the daylight hours. There are plenty of restaurants and bars on the beach within walking distance. I wish I could have stayed at Nathan’s longer, and I will come back again. I enjoyed every moment of my stay and appreciate Nathan’s respect for natural design and sustainability.
