An absolutely fabulous cottage! My husband and I needed a few days of peace and quiet away from all the hustle and bustle of life and work. The Rose Cottage was the perfect place! The privacy and quiet was just what we needed. Thouroughly enjoyed the rocking chairs on the back porch and even had a couple Shetland ponies visit us there! Saw deer daily and enjoyed the small pond and bench near the cottage. Enjoyed the magazines and a puzzle (which my husband never does!) and the hot tub. The drive in and out of the property was stunning. Wish we could have stayed longer and taken a few walks. It was a fabulous getaway! Hope to visit again!

Everyone we met or spoke with was so very kind -they about made it feel like family We can’t say enough good things about the place from the staff, relaxing atmosphere, wildlife, accommodations, privacy, and cleanliness. I recently had the pleasure of staying at this charming cottage and was absolutely delighted by the experience. The photos in the listing, while lovely, don’t fully capture the warmth and beauty of this hidden gem; it’s truly even more enchanting in person. From the moment I arrived, I was struck by the cozy ambiance and thoughtful touches throughout the space. The living area is both comfortable and inviting, perfect for unwinding after a day of exploration. The kitchen is well-equipped, making it easy to prepare meals and enjoy them in the quaint dining nook. The bedroom offers a restful retreat with its plush bedding and serene decor. Waking up to the gentle sounds of nature and sipping coffee on the private patio was a highlight of my mornings. The surrounding area is picturesque, offering plenty of opportunities for leisurely walks and immersing oneself in the local scenery. The host’s hospitality was exceptional, providing helpful recommendations and ensuring a seamless stay.

This was a great bungalo. Just as descried, cozy with antique decor. The hot tub was a big hit for us. We ran the spartan race and it i=was just what we needed after a long day of exercise.

If you’re looking to unplug and escape to the country while still being 15 minutes from any luxury or necessity, this is your place to stay. A lake is in the backyard, so amazing to sit on the porch and look at, or even take walks around! The property is quiet and peaceful and feels so safe. No need to fuss with locking the doors unless you really want to. You’re far into the property and NOBODY can access you because the gate is only openable with a code. You get every benefit of escaping to the country while still being able to access fun activities in town and loads of restaurants. It’s perfect. And there’s plenty room in this little house. It was just two of us but I feel like 2 couples could share this place easy. Thank you for an incredible time away, we can’t wait to come back!

We had a wonderful stay here! It's the perfect weekend getaway for Texas residents, and a chance to enjoy their wonderful outdoor space. We had our toddler and dog with us along with a couple friends. The layout was perfect for our group, and the space was very kid-friendly. We loved the firepit, and the grate over the top made me much more comfortable having our toddler and dog outside while the fire was going. The hot tub was great in the evenings, and we loved all the space to roam around. We're hoping to make it an annual trip!

We had the best time with our kids staying at this family friendly home. From cooking to games and relaxing on the beautiful porch. I plan to come back every couple of months as my kids and I are all within driving distance to spend time together. The outdoor space is simply amazing.

We booked the Quebe Guesthouse for a girls trip to Round Top Antiques Fair. It was amazing! The farmhouse is beautiful. It was the perfect place for the four of us. Charlotte came to greet us and provided eggs, milk, single serve Blue Bell ice cream…so thoughtful. We enjoyed learning about the history of the property and even took an RTV ride with Bill. Coffee on the front porch was delightful. We cooked several meals and also enjoyed a couple of restaurants in Brenham: The Brenham Grill & Ninety Six West. We had a very relaxing stay and would highly recommend this property. Charlotte - thank you for your hospitality!

Our family was able to stay together at this country retreat before one of our son’s wedding that was happening nearby. It was a great location for the venue and allowed us extra time together plus the bonus of being a beautiful place. Our nearest hotel options would have been a very different experience. The beds were comfy and the weather was perfect to spend time outside and enjoy the front porch and surroundings.

The bunkhouse is a great rustic experience in the middle of a picturesque landscape of rolling hills and beautiful huge oaks. Our hosts were extremely responsive to our needs and went above and beyond to make us feel at home. I would highly recommend staying here.

Beautiful and comfortable home. Spacious rooms and bathrooms to accommodate 10 adults and an infant. Well equipped gourmet kitchen with a country feel. Midge was wonderful and responsive to our needs. The property is peaceful, pastoral and a welcome space for our busy wedding week. We highly recommend Midge’s place for a wonderful family getaway.

Every bit of my stay here was awesome! It was so comfortable and relaxing. Everything I needed was there. The hot tub was great! The fire pit was perfect. I sat on the porch and watched the cows in the morning while enjoying my coffee. The bed was so comfortable and I slept better than I had in a long time. I was the only guest while there but never felt unsafe or awkward, Nigel was around and even stopped to check on me. I will definitely revisit and recommend this awesome place to everybody I know! There is so much to do in the surrounding areas but you won’t lack the fun and relaxation if you just hang out here!

We rented Mesquite Retreat with my two brothers, sister and brother in law for a wedding we were attending for a nephew. My youngest brother lives in Cedar Creek and this was the best and closest place to stay. The Hyatt was right next store to my brothers house but this house worked out much better. We were able to casually wake up and eat breakfast. We cooked in one night. Had lunch a few days. The place is well laid out. Large kitchen, dining area and living room. Pool and outdoor patio area was very nice. Beds were comfortable and master bedroom had a huge jacuzzi and shower. The place is remote but if you want peace and quiet and a comfortable home to share with family and/or friends then highly recommend this place.

Top notch for our several day visit. enjoyed the property immensely. container was extremely nice for us, a/c's kept up in the heat of the day and super quiet & peaceful at night. enjoyed the container pool as the sun heated up the outdoors. headed in to town for some great drinks & food. would highly recommend and ready to come back!

This place was great for a nature girl myself. The kids were able to have fun in the pool while the adults fished and grilled!

The Farm House is a charming home. It is exactly as described and well-equipped with everything you need for your stay. Matt was super responsive throughout our stay.

Beautiful peaceful property, a wonderful experience to stay here with nature and the animals as well as Walter and his wive's being great hosts that make you feel like family.
