This place is beautiful. It’s just outside the hustle and bustle of Kandy city. In the morning you can expect waking up to the most beautiful views of rice paddies and the sounds of birds. And in the evening, it is very peaceful. You’ll see a light show of fireflies and hear the crickets chirping. My husband and I just love spending time here. The location is also super convenient. It’s just a short walk from groceries, the gym, and all the local restaurants. We had an amazing time in Embilmeegame town. You can even walk to the tea factory for a tour if you’re interested. Uchitha was so helpful and accommodating. If you’re looking for a peaceful place to stay, but still close to Kandy, I highly recommend this place!

Pro tip if you take the train go to Kandy and use Uber or Pickme to the location. The Peradeniya Station is closer but harder to hail a ride. I would definitely come back for a visit.

This was by far my best Air BnB experience.. Very homely and welcoming host, and the place and staff make you feel like you're in your own home.. Clean place with great historical architecture and furniture and over set up.. Innoka served some awesome home made food.. and the property being spacious there was a lot to do like take walks.. swim in a clean and well maintained pool or spend time with the pets that themselves are so warm and welcoming to guests.. Janaka is a very warm and kind host and ensures that all guests are comfortable at all times. He's also an experienced global traveller so can spend hours talking to him abt culture and philosophy. Absolute no brainer from a place and cost and amenities perspective, this hld be your preferred place to stay when in Sri Lanka.

Pros: + awesome hosts + comfortable pillows and mattress, warm blanket + amazing view from a big balcony + you can order a food for 3-4 usd/person + good bathroom with hot water Cons: - it didn't seemed as the whole private apartment. It's more like 2 bedrooms with attached bathrooms, because sofas and kitchen are a shared spaces. Take into consideration that the location on the map doesn't match. You can find the place in maps as "Hanthana view". Recommend!)
