Farmstay vacation rentals in Kumaon Division

Its a great place to spend some time alone, introspect and chill. The hosts (Mr. Pooran Singh Dangwal and Ms. Bina) are just superb. You'll get delicious home cooked food which is even better than your own home. A general advice for all visiting this property is that you should treat the hosts with respect. They are not simply caretakers of the property but are the owners. In fact, Ms. Bina is the Sarpanch of the village, so you can imagine the amount of respect they command in the village. They will be courteous to you only because of their modesty and I would advice everyone to reciprocate the same. In case you are keen to eat fresh fruits (apricots, peaches, plums and apples), you should visit in May/June. Further, they don't object to consumption of intoxicating substances provided you are respectful, socially and mentally sound. Pros: 1. A silent place to simply relax and chill. 2. Bonfire (with minimal extra charges) is available everyday. 3. The owner has a camp site nearby where you can stay. 4. Delicious food (you must try the chicken cooked by Ms. Bina). Suggestions: 1. There is a 350m hike to reach the property. Don't treat this as a con but an adventure. 2. The most nearby market is 3-4 kms away. However, you won't need anything and the hosts will provide all necessities.

We had a wonderful stay at Raabta and truly appreciate the hospitality. The beautiful sunsets, delicious breakfasts (especially the fresh strawberries and mint chutney from the garden, thank you Bhavna!), and quality time with the family made our visit memorable. We loved having Messy around, despite his occasional (guarded) escapades.

The place is beautiful and despite not seeing any of the mountains because of the hazy heat, we had a great time. Pawan’s cooking was amazing and the service was excellent. Our guide Kim was excellent with kids and we had a very lovely cultural walk. I wouid probably recommend trying to go just after the rains as that clears the view for the snow capped peaks or even heading up to zero point if it’s hazy as we still managed to get a sneak peak of the mountains from there. Also best beds and duvets and loved the dogs, children, lemons and baby goats:):)

This place was amazing. Before booking this place we were looking for some place which has great view and some open area to sit and enjoy the sun. Looked through the pictures we booked this property and it was better than what we expected. Great view of the himalayan range and full mountain vally, great sunrise view from the property and room. Amazing play area in the property to sit, walk and enjoy your time. They have a dining area by the cliff, so while having your meal you can have amazing view to the valley. All in all, amazing property, really loved it. The owner Alok sir was amazing and Shankar bhaiya(manager), whole staff was very polite and helping. If you are planning to visit Mukteshwar, you can book this property without thinking twice.

Amazing place with great vibes. Location was great with Himalayan range Views, on site staff was very accommodating, food was great. Worth money what we spent for.

This place is absolutely magical. The view is spectacular. The grounds are gorgeous- gardens and flowers everywhere. The room was very spacious and clean. We had a huge balcony with the amazing view of the mountains. I didn’t have a vehicle so we had to hire a driver from Kathgodam which was 1200 one way. There is a little town with a shop that has snacks- drinks, chips and candy but there wasn’t anywhere to get groceries. Just something to know if you don’t have a vehicle of your own. It wasn’t a problem for us because breakfast is included in the stay and then you can buy other meals and the meals were absolutely delicious. The owner also offered to get us some things from the store and bring them up so we had some fruit and things brought. Everyone was very helpful and welcoming. I would absolutely stay here again. It was worth the ride up the mountain from Kathgodam (which was about 20 minutes or so). We really loved our stay and highly suggest this place!

Its a beautiful place located away from all the hustle and bustle... simple food, simple yet comfortable accommodation, a very nice caretaker who takes care of you in a very friendly way... Mindblowing location and would go back to the place again. Also, thanks to Mr. Ashutosh for prompt communication. Thanks for hosting me, I will recommend the place to everyone.

The stay was much better than what is shown in the pictures. Even though there is a bit of a 20 minute hike to reach it, it's definitely worth it. They provide you with a porter if you have extra baggage for a very minimal price. The place is about 10-12 km from Mukhteshwar so if you want to visit Mukhteshwar you will need to plan a bit ahead but if you're there for just the staycation it's an ideal place to be. The weather is great, the surroundings are beautiful and their caretaker was extremely helpful and responsive. We will definitely visit again sometime.

Indeed an experience of heaven on earth, with all the amenities available. Also we have angels there, just let them know about your wishes. So honestly speaking i needed a break from this city chaos, and then found this place.. i literally did nothing except for enjoying this property., very spacious, perfectly designed, with beautiful weather(you will live with clouds), good homemade food.., And the great Ravi ji(he takes care of this property with his beautiful wife), wonderful & friendly people and they also understand your personal space, so you won’t be bothered. In short just trust me and go for it, you won’t regret your decision. Rest i will keep visiting this property guys., so leave some booking slots for me as well..

Shivani and Avijeet are superb hosts - they are extremely helpful and accommodating for special requests, and are very attentive to each guest's unique requirements. The property is very serene and has a great view, and the accommodation is comfortable and cozy. I would say the only (mildly) challenging part is getting your vehicle up from the road to the property for the last 50m or so, but even that is something the hosts will go out of their way to help with. Our stay was very comfortable and we really enjoyed our time there - we really enjoyed meeting their pets Julie and Motu and getting to have great conversation and some delicious food (and cocktails!). They made us feel at home and pulled out all the stops in ensuring our comfort. (Bonus points for the decent wifi and decent network reception, unlike some other parts of Uttarakhand). A lot of care has gone into setting up the farm-stay, and it shows with how considerate the hosts are - 100% would recommend!

We spent 3 days including New Year's Eve at Aikkya. Their place is ideally located with great views, peace and quiet. Our room was simply yet beautifully decorated and was very clean. We liked the fact that their cottages are built with local building techniques, are sustainable and still have the modern amenities and comforts. We especially loved the common lounge/dining area with it's wood burning stove. It's the ideal place to chill, get to meet the other guests, eat and drink. Shivani and Avijeet go to great lengths to cater to the tastes of each of their guests, cooking different cuisines and offering variety. We had some delicious meals and got to taste an authentic Kumaoni spread. At the end of our stay, we left knowing that we will be back.

This is by far one of the best places I have been to and definitely would want to come again for a longer time. My plan to visit was sudden but Adnan and team responded quickly so I could reach there without hassle. Leave your city spaces and come visit this amazing and serene location with such subtle and yet important messages as you walk through the property! The charm of the place is because of the wonderful senery plus the bustling biodiversity (many tress and variety of Birds chirping) What really got me intrigued to book was the way that they have thought about sustainability. The Full Form of HEAL defines it perfectly! And lastly the best part The Bathroom Wooww! Glass top and you feel nature showering on you! maybe some scope of improvement for the food, but yeaa it's all worth it (good, small light portions of food) Thanks and until next time I bring along some my people to stay!

The location is truly special – you'll wake up to the sounds of birds and have direct access to walking trails right from your doorstep. The well-maintained garden adds to the natural charm and provides plenty of space for morning strolls or evening relaxation. One of the highlights is the attentive assistant who provides daily cleaning and prepares delicious meals, making the stay feel both homey and luxurious. The convenience of nearby shops for basic groceries means you can easily stock up on essentials while still feeling away from it all. For outdoor enthusiasts, there are several hiking options in the vicinity, including a lovely trail that leads down to a small river. The property serves as an excellent base for exploring the local natural attractions.

We were looking for a chilled out property where we could work during the afternoons, chill during the evenings and have safe arrangements for cooking food. This place met all our expectations. The room has an attached kitchen and it has a gas stove, all cutlery and cooking utensils. We were also provided with a Microwave so we were mostly self sufficient with things. The most favourite part of our stay was the Balcony! It’s been 10 days post our stay and I miss Nakshatra’s balcony every day! It has nice mountain view and you’d get to see beautiful civil twilight during evenings. This place also has a caretaker “BooBoo Jii” who is very courteous and would do everything to make sure you have a nice stay. Alongside BooBoo Ji we had a cook as well who cooked decent food. Lastly, we were 3 friends, and room was spacious enough to accommodate an extra bed. The only one thing that could have been better is the JioFi network in the rooms - but.. when you such a view outside why not sit outside and work with fresh air and the view! All the best Anurag. Location is super peaceful and calm, situated on the outskirts of Ramgarh. Early mornings are really nice here as terrace is full of various plants and flowers which attracts lots of birds. Also, great hospitality by the family. The coolest thing about this place is that there's a school. It might sound strange, but it's actually really nice. It adds a special feeling to the whole experience.
