Only 6 kilometers separate the village of Steffenshagen from the coast in the north. During a pleasant hike in the fresh Baltic Sea air, you can quickly reach the forest-rich mountain range "Kühlung" in the west. So in an apartment in Steffenshagen you live right in the center of a region that has as much to offer as hardly any other area on the Baltic Sea coast.

Built around 1780 as a smoking house, the farmhouse is protected under historic preservation and has been lovingly maintained. Das Ferienhaus liegt im Naturpark Sternberger Seenland, ist 200 Jahre alt und war das ehem. Eishaus des Gutshauses. Es wurde 2017 vollkommen saniert. Die Sauna, Kanu, Ruderboot, Stand-Up-Paddle sowie eine Tischtennisplatte und Badminton können kostenfrei genutzt werden. Groß Raden hat ein archäologisches Freilichtmuseum mit Ferienprogrammen und zwei Restaurants. Vom Steg oder Boot aus kann man angeln oder schwimmen. Zur Ostsee, nach Schwerin sowie nach Wismar und Rostock sind ca. 45 km.
