The shelter at Näldsjön

Take a break and unwind in this peaceful little cottage. Here you live right next to the lake below our farm with the cows grazing outside the knot. Access to both sauna and barbecue area, and canoe for those who want to take a paddle trip out on the lake. Note: No running water in the cabin, thus no bathroom. Water can be found in cans in cabin. Our modern log house is situated right on a lakeshore. The open-concept design with lots of wood and light creates a warm, friendly atmosphere. On 85m2 you'll find panoramic windows with a fantastic view on the lake, a soap stone fireplace, two bedrooms and a bathroom. Enjoy fishing, paddling, swimming, hiking and x-country skiing right in front of your doorstep! Our neighbouring little farm with our kids, three sled dogs, three cats, a garden and chickens can induce a farm holiday experience.

Cozy attached cottage close to central Östersund, Ski arena and nature. Here you'll be able to enjoy your own private space including covered deck, kitchen, bathroom, livingroom with a fireplace and a cozy sleeping loft. Please note that the ladder to the loft is steep and narrow. There's a cat and a dog living on the property so if you are allergic, this place is not for you. Parking included on the property.

The host is really friendly and helps you out if you need it, while also giving you all the privacy you want. Very nice location, walking distance to the lake where you can picnic with no one else around. Sometimes you see locals around who are very friendly, but there are 0 tourists here. Added to my favorites to come back!

If I could, I would give it 6 stars!! One of the most beautiful houses I've been in, really comfortable and nicely furnished inside and a beautiful wooden patio outside with the lawn in front where you can enjoy the sun! For those who want to, I recommend the sauna behind the house! Thank you for everything to Elisabeth, the hostess who was very kind and hospitable 😊

A lovely quiet place! Plenty of room for many, even though there were only two of us..:) Lovely to just light the fireplace and read a book for many hours and take small nearby walks. Perfect distance to skiing in Åre or the city in Østersund (try the Saturday frame at Astrids in the city!). Thanks for us!

We had a great stay at Sylvia’s little cottage for an entire week. The place is cozy and functional. As a point of attention, the space above the bed is tight but matched the description, so we were not surprised. The surroundings are truly amazing, peaceful and with amazing views. Proximity to the frozen lake in winter was a plus. Sylvia was responsive and attentive throughout our stay. Highly recommended!
