Renovated and reopened for up to 25 people! Hot spring footbath fed by the source spring, BBQ, 15-minute walk to Shirahama, 10-minute adventure car ride

They politely answered various questions, so we prepared what we needed in advance. The ingredients prepared in advance and the ingredients bought at the Toretore Market, BBQed for breakfast, made pizza dough, baked, BBQed outside, and BBQed again the next morning, made hot spring eggs, and ate them with seafood bowls and chicken rolls and pinky bowls. The hot spring was also the best, and I enjoyed the footbath many times with the children. It was great to stay again (^ ^)

Very good experience, the room is super clean as always. There is a nice little detail, a spray to deodorize the shoes at the entrance, and a towel to wipe the shoes and backpack, a blessing for a whole day of walking.

Traditional triple room with a view

I only stayed for one night, but Kohei-san made it such a memorable experience. He was incredibly helpful with all my questions, and his warm hospitality really stood out. The dinner they prepared was beyond what I expected—especially the adorable bento box I ordered, which was so kawaii! The private onsen inside their place was the perfect way to relax and unwind. And one of the most thoughtful touches? Kohei-san developed a photo he took during my stay and gave it to me as a souvenir—such a sweet and personal gesture. I would definitely love to come back and stay longer next time. Highly recommend this special place!

Mountains, rivers, waterfalls.Stay&Adventure "Yuoyaka"

Ah we had such a lovely (but short) time at Tomi’s house. It has such a feeling of home and a charm to it! We only stayed one night and so didn’t get to use the outside area or the surroundings sadly but the home itself was just perfect for us. Unlike a lot of air b and b’s which feel like a hotel, this had a real homey feel, with manga books and guitars and a very well stocked kitchen! I’d definitely stay here if you are considering it. Also I must say Tomi was so incredibly kind - gave us so much help with recommendations which were spot on! Thank you

Cozy house - Heart of Tanabe/Kumano

JamesRating, 5 stars1 week ago
Kathy and Hideo's Airbnb was fantastic and made us wish we'd had more time to spend there in Tanabe. The hosts were proactive and thoughtful, and offered to pick us up at the station. Hideo-san used to be a guide of the Kumano Kodo track and gave us some great tips. Really enjoyed our experience and hope to stay again soon. Highly recommended.

Stay at a Tea Farmer's Inn in Kumano Hongu

ChristianRating, 5 stars2 months ago
What a fantastic place, the owners are both fantastic and they cook the best meals we had in our Japan holidays, you can see and feel the passion for what they do, they own a tea farm and their tea is really delicious, they are very accommodating and they will help you with anything, definitely worth every single dollar. Thank you again
