Vacation rentals with a fireplace in Kounoupidiana

We felt very comfortable in the stone, small summer house. We loved the courtyard covered by an old vine. In the evening you could illuminate it comfortably and beautifully. We were pleased that there were all the necessary spices in the kitchen and a bottle of red wine was on the table to welcome you. The location in a quiet side street but still only 2 minutes walk from the beach and the old village center of Colombia is ideal. The handover and communication with Dimitrios was very nice and straightforward. We are happy to recommend the place! We felt very comfortable in the small stone summer house. The place is very nice, it has absolutely everything needed. The host was communicative check in and check out were extremely accessible. From my point of view you have to rent a car if you stay here is quite walking to the beach (n I would recommend), this is the only minus the distance to the beach and from the old center but the quality of the house is unmatched, many terraces, quiet surroundings full of greenery. We had a wonderful week

We spent 10 days at the property with our 2 1/2 year old son. The house is well equipped and really offers everything to have a nice time in the area. The village is secluded from the hustle and bustle, but still offers 2 nice taverns and cafes; and in a few minutes' drive you are on the beach or in one of the numerous taverns in a neighboring village. Nektaria was a great host, always available. We'd love to come back!

It was one of the best places we stayed in Europe. The house has everything you need, from kitchen utensils to an outdoor table. Yannis is an amazing host and not only gave us heaps of recommendations but also received us with local food. We will never forget it! Thank you so much.

Very nice house,very nice people, close to shops and restaurants. You have everything you need in the house. Very comfortable beds. The only thing is the house it's on the main road and you can hear every car that pass on the street in case you wanna sleep more in the day time. ,but everything else it's wonderful. You will need a car to access some of the beaches. But some of the beaches or go to Chania town ,you can take the bus. But it's best to rent a car for visiting more as Crete is a wonderful island and you will need at leat 2 weeks to see it. Giorgos also let us stay until very late on the day of check out as nobody was coming at the property on that day. And our flight was late ,so it was very nice of him letting us staying until very late that day in the house. Overall the house it's beautiful and has everything you need. You only need to buy food for yourself as everything else it's there. Thank you for everything.

This place was just as described and Katrina was the most friendly and generous person bringing many lovely homemade things for us. I would certainly return and recommend it to anyone looking for a taste of real Crete.

We recently stayed at this Airbnb for an autumn vacation and, overall, it was a pleasant experience. The house is clean, well-maintained, and the location is convenient for exploring the area. The amenities provided were more than adequate, and everything functioned as expected. One thing to note is that the hosts live on-site, which isn’t necessarily a problem, but their presence was definitely felt compared to other Airbnbs we stayed in so far. Nevertheless, it’s a great choice if you’re looking for a well-kept, dog friendly space with hosts who are nearby to assist.

A lovely place in a cute village, surrounded by olive trees. A gorgeous view from the terrace. The house manager communicates very well, with fast, clear and friendly instructions. Special mention: the owners Elena and Michail also run a delightful restaurant 30min away. It is well worth going, for the food, the view, but most importantly to meet with them! They have been sooo incredibly welcoming and it was a treat to have a chat with them both. I definitely recommend

We enjoyed our stay with Georg very much. Especially the garden was so great for our two boys with plenty of space to run around and great play opportunities. We were spoiled with delicious olive oil and freshly picked salad and were able to snack on pomegranate from the garden. Communication with Georg was always flawless and fast. He and his family were always so helpful and so friendly. We were even allowed to watch the olive harvest and learned so much about it from Georg. The surroundings are great for various excursions. We highly recommend George's place.

We stayed for 9 days in a beautiful apartment, very clean and well equipped. The apartment is about 10/15 minutes from the center of Chania, in front of a supermarket and in our opinion, is at the right distance from all the most beautiful beaches (1.45h max). The order, cleanliness and equipment of the apartment allowed us to enjoy our stay to the fullest! I would like to give a special thank you to the very nice Chrysoula. She was very kind, sociable and available to answer all our questions. She was the first local we met and it really warmed our hearts to meet her…thank you! We will definitely stay again. Amazing in every way! Location was unparalleled, close to everything and so easy to find your way homw. The view from the generous balcony was stunning, and the house is a truly unique gem! We stayed a week and felt so at home! Our biggest decisions were which fireplace to snuggle up in front of, and which of Nina’s recommended restaurants to visit (or whether to stay in and cook in the large kitchen and eat on the balcony!) The house is old and quirky, with something to discover everywhere you look, and makes you feel like you have stepped back in time to experience life in old Chania. If one of the things you love about Greece is its history - you will LOVE staying here. The hosts are kind, responsive, and attentive, and as Nina runs the shop below, it is easy to connect with questions or ask for local advice, or just say “hi!” When we return to Chania we will definitely try to book this location again! I am already dreaming of sitting on the balcony, watching the ocean and sipping

We had a lovely stay. Everything worked well and location was really nice. There are nice beaches nearby and restaurants and grocery stores are also close. The area is quiet and nice. The balcony is really nice and has a great view. It is larger than the pictures indicate, and we spend both morning and evening sitting there and enjoying the view. Katerina was really flexible and friendly when we arrived. The place was easy to find. We had rented a car, and the parking worked nicely.

We had a wonderful stay here! Beautiful view, a thoughtful and responsive host and they even prepared a special welcome as it was my birthday. Definitely recommend for a long weekend break in Chania!

This is the best air BnB we have stayed in. The photos do not do it justice. It is so spacious, with large bedrooms and a large living area. Plenty of storage space and a HUGE outdoor space with a massive pool. It was a stunning air BnB. Lots of amenities and extra kitchen gadgets. It has a great BBQ and outdoor eating space. The pool was a highlight and was warm despite it not being heated. Showers had lots of power, beds were comfy. Location is stunning, very peaceful and serene. Not loud at all. We didn’t mind the planes going over head, they are very infrequent. The house was so clean and clearly well looked after. You would need a car to get around Crete if staying here but a lovely tavern and local beach 10-15 min walk down the road. Stavros beach about a 5 min drive. I would absolutely stay here again, it was perfect!! Christian and Judith were amazing hosts, very responsive and gave clear instructions!

Tor is a brilliant host and his villa is exactly as described. It was spacious and there are great seating areas both inside and out. The beds are super comfy and there are beautiful views from the terrace. We hired a car for a few days, but had lots of days at the villa and it was easy with local shops and the Irene Taverna near by. Tor was always quick to respond to messages and Nikos, who is super helpful, was available in person. Nikos popped by to check how everything was several times and nothing was too much trouble. He was generous with his time sharing local places to visit and suggested a fish restaurant at Stavros beach which was our favourite place. Thank you Tor and Nikos for making our visit to Crete memorial and relaxing.

We had a great time at the villa! Lovely place Very clean had all the amenities, instructions were very clear from Periklis and whenever I needed something the response was immediate! They came to do a full clean of the villa mid way through our stay which was also great! Overall a lovely place and area with many near shops and restaurants! And short drive into town! Would stay again next time!

We had a wonderful time at the house. Very relaxing and an ideal place to explore the surrounding area. Upon arrival, we were very warmly welcomed and we lacked nothing. Something to nibble on and drink was also already available. The sea is just a stone's throw away. Shopping on foot, visiting a restaurant and it even has a bus stop. In other words, you could also travel without a rental car. Ideal for travelers wanting to get away from the hustle and bustle. Excellent Many thanks to Hannah and the homeowner.

We had a lovely week at Anna’s place. It was our first family holiday and a great place to enjoy some time together. The space is modern, clean and light. The outside areas are spacious and although the pools were a little chilly (we visited in October), we spent lots of time outside. The roof terrace has wonderful views. The villa is walking distance to lovely restaurants with sea views, a park with children’s play area, beaches and supermarkets - we didn’t need a car at all! Anna went above and beyond to help us during our stay!
