The host was incredibly gracious, treated us kindly, communicates well, and shared with us many useful tips. I have nothing but found memories of my stay, the city and its people. The location is great and is near to many places of interests, and good local food is only a stone's throw away. I would certainly come here again.

Staying at The Culvert is a unique experience. The location is amazing. You feel like you are in the jungle, with everything that comes with that. You have to navigate your way up and down uneven steps and you have to be prepared for the mosquitoes. The hotel provides spray for a very low price if you don't bring your own. Also be aware that the door to the room does not seal, there is a gap, so you truly are one with nature and the Seaview rooms have a separate (private) bathroom that you have to come out of the room to access. The room itself is small, so only suitable for one person or a couple. The bed is huge and extremely comfortable, as are the pillows. The staff was very friendly and the girls at the restaurant were really nice and accommodating. The beach is beautiful to view the sunset from but this time of the year it's not really possible to swim as the water is very far away during the day. But a great walk by the beach.
