We enjoyed a fantastic four days in Aris’ place, the views of the plateau and mountains are just beautiful! We felt right at home, and it was lovely to have Aris and his wife physically there at check in, a rarity these days! The images really don’t do this place justice, it is up some winding roads but we were prepared for that having visited the plateau in 2012. We can’t recommend staying here more, we really wish we’d have booked a longer stay! Aris had a fantastic hire car recommendation too, which was also great, and we had some amazing recommendations from them too. Thank you very much Aris!

The villa was just as described. Great location, walkable to the beach and close to bars and restaurants yet still private. We were able to check in early and were met by Maria’s family and all the amenities were explained well. Maria checked in with us regularly and came to clean during our stay. We even locked ourselves out and Maria was very helpful in getting us back in. Check out was also very smooth and easy. Overall a great stay and would recommend it to anyone and everyone!

We can highly recommend this accommodation. It's tucked away in a very secluded spot, which makes it wonderfully peaceful. At the same time, you can reach restaurants and a mini market in just a few minutes. A car is essential! The garden is stunning. The biodiversity is incredible. There's always something new to discover. The house is quite small and simply furnished, but that was absolutely fine. Everything was clean, and that's what matters most. The long driveway leading to the house can be a bit intimidating—it just slopes down without any railing or guard. But that’s just part of the Cretan charm. Giannis was always very friendly and helpful—thank you for everything! We also got to know the neighboring family and even visited them. Such kind people. And the animals! Aphroditi the horse, a peacock, chickens, and turkeys—our daughter loved them. Overall a great experience. We were very happy and would definitely recommend it. Who knows—maybe we’ll be back in a few years!

We came 5 people - my husband and I, with our 2 children and my mother-in-law. First of all, a few days before we arrived Elena (an amazing woman with a perfect english) contacted me and made sure she has all the details so she can prepare a perfect stay for us. The house was super clean and equipped, and the outside was the best! We spent hours in the pool enjoying the amazing nature around us. Elena and her husband Yiorgos are wonderful people - they were very kind, caring and responsive. We wish we could come again next summer 🙏🏻

Ein wirklich tolles Apartment, riesengroß und sehr geschmackvoll eingerichtet. Pantelis und seine Frau sind unwahrscheinlich freundlich, sie haben uns mit selbst zubereiteten Snacks und Getränken verwöhnt. Auf dem Dach gibt es einen eigenen Whirlpool, der von niemandem sonst genutzt wird. Die Betten sind himmlisch weich und bequem. Das Apartment ist nur wenige Minuten vom Strand und von Supermärkten entfernt.

We stayed as a family of six, four adults and two children (8 and 5). The set up was really comfortable and worked perfectly for us. The outdoor pool area is great and our two kids loved it - especially as there were lots of inflatables left to play with. We arrived at 3am. Xristos offered to meet us, but when we suggested with young children we'd prefer just to get in and get to bed, then meet up after it was no problem at all. We had instructions to call when we arrived, and the gate was opened for us. We were blown away by how well supplied the house was. Xristos was in touch in the week before to check if we needed anything in particular and couldn't have been more helpful in making sure we had everything we needed to start our holiday. Then we had a delivery of local fruit and wild artichokes as they were in season. Amazing. There was a dust storm before we arrived. Xristos promptly sorted this too. A great and relaxed place to stay, with an unbelievably good host. Thanks!

The villa is clean, well stocked, and spacious. Simos was incredibly responsive and great to communicate with. The area is lovely, with a few excellent restaurants in walking distance, wineries and olive farms really close, and Knossos Palace also a short drive away. It’s a great place to unwind and the proximity to the Heraklion airport is also a bonus if you’re flying off the island.

We had a super time with Stefani and Antonis. The villa is super, the pool was warm, the area quiet, and the view down to Herssonios and out right to the mountains was lovely. We chose it because it was walking distance to some shops and restaurants. The village is lovely and a short 5-10min walk from the villa. We were at the very end of the season, so many of the restaurants in the village closed, but we always found somewhere to eat. Herssonios is a longer walk away (maybe 30 mins) and has supermarkets, pharmacies, and restaurants galore, even after the season ended. We found the walk downhill to the town, and back uphill to the village fine, even with 2 kids. Herssonios itself didn’t hold much charm for us, but we found a taxi to Agios Nikolas (delightful), Heraklion’s museum (more engaging for us than the Athens archeological museum), and Rethimno (lovely old town, laneway cafes, long stretch of beach) filled enough of our days. And with a heated pool to return to, no complaints.

Absolutely fantastic place to stay. Plenty of cafes and restaurants around the area and very close to Heraklion so easy to get around. Overall extremely affordable and as described with a very responsive host. I would definitely stay again and recommend completely.

Sehr nettes Appartment, tolle Lage, sehr gastfreundlich. Wenige Schritte zu Strand, Strandbar, Restaurants.

Wir haben eine tolle Zeit verbracht in diesem schönen Haus in Limenas! Anna und Leandros sind äußerst freundlich und hilfsbereit. Sie haben uns empfangen und sogar abgeholt, da wir spät am Abend angekommen sind. Anna hat eine örtliche Spezialität für uns gebacken. Die Unterkunft ist sehr ruhig, geräumig, blitzsauber und gut eingerichtet. Alles modern, WLAN funktioniert bestens. Die Gastgeber jederzeit erreichbar. Auf beiden Terrassen kann man den Sonnenaufgang bewundern und abends mit dem Blick aufs Meer den Tagesausklang genießen. Im privaten Garten kann man ungestört gemütlich sitzen, essen oder in der Sonne liegen. Parkplatz ist am Grundstück. Gutes Fischrestaurant ganz in der Nähe, Cafes am Strand und Tavernen in der Umgebung. Weit vom Trubel und Touristenmassen kann man sich wirklich gut erholen. Wir haben uns hier sehr wohl gefühlt, würden wiederkommen und können diese Unterkunft gerne empfehlen!

She was the best host that anyone could ever ask for. She went out of her way to give us dinner when we had just arrived (at 11pm) cake and gelatin that she had made from scratch and even gave us amazing places to check out all over Crete. Bless your soul Mandy. I will ALWAYS come back should the opportunity arises. Upon arrival the place was clean and ready on arrival. It was supplied with trash bags, a TV, kitchen supplies, even with some food in the fridge (which we greatly appreciated) great WIFI, and even bathroom and shower toiletries.

It was a very pleasant stay. Appartement was neat and everything was there that you need. The first day the appartement was a bit difficult to find, but Konstatinos reacted immediatly with the right location. He welcomed us and showed everything in the appartment. There was a possibility to get the appartment cleaned in the middle of our stay. That was very nice. The beach was 5 minute walk. A lot of restaurants and beachbars to choose from. Check-out was also very easy. In front of the building there is a free, large parking space, sometimes you have to wait a couple of minutes before there was a free spot, but overall we had a spot most of the time. We highly recommend this appartment!! Thank you for this pleasant stay!

My wife and I toured the Villa in the listing, and it was absolutely gorgeous, but we stayed at the single story Villa below and our review will reflect our experience there. One thing worth noting about the listed Villa is that it is two stories, both beautifully appointed. Our single story Villa, a part of the same complex, was beautiful, peaceful, and restful. The Villa was impeccably clean, the space spacious and airy, completely modern and luxurious but without pretense. I could live there year round and count myself fortunate. The location is fifteen or twenty minutes from a number of popular beaches, yet in the countryside far from the noise, clutter, and confusion of the city. The town has everything you need and nothing you don’t. If anything could be better than the villa it’s the host, Manos. Manos is the most friendly and generous host imaginable; a gentleman and beautiful person in every sense. If I have any regrets about the villa it’s that I didn’t book it for longer.

Es war ein sehr sehr schöner Urlaub, wir konnten uns in dem schönen Haus super erholen die Aussicht war atemberaubend. Wenn wir Hilfe benötigten war immer jemand zu erreichen. Antworten kamen immer sehr schnell. Vielen Dank und wir kommen gerne wieder.☺️

Die location ist besonders, wir haben es gefeiert. Schön gelegen. Total ruhig und etwas abseits. Wir fühlten uns absolut sicher. Die lokalen Restaurants waren anfangs Mai gerade geöffnet - es geht dörflich zu. Auto ist notwendig. Die Preise fair, die Menschen freundlich. Freilebende Katzen besuchen. Eine Katze hat ihre Kitten in der Nähe der Unterkunft geboren und fühlt sich dem Haus zugehörig. Der erste Mikromarkt ist 5min entfernt, in Gazi (10min) sind größere Einkaufsmöglichkeiten. Das Bad ist klein und wie alles an dem Haus liebevoll gestaltet. Ab Körpergröße 180cm erfordert die Benutzung der Toilette wegen der Beinfreiheit etwas Flexibilität. Das Haus ist ein Traum, wenn Du entspannen und runterkommen willst.

Our stay at Christina’s was excellent. Exactly what we hoped for, a quiet village, clean space with everything we needed. The locals were friendly and we had plenty to do within a 30m drive any direction. Would recommend as a home base to explore the rural areas of Crete.

Together with my wife and daughter I really did enjoy our stay at Elenis Apartment! We had to leave Crete earlier than expected (due to some private stuff). Eleni was very understanding and accepted our request of shortening the stay. We got a refund of 3 days which was very accommodating!! The flat got everything you need, we spent most of our time on the balcony looking at the sea. The beach close by is nice and quiet. The next restaurant is in walking distance of 25minutes, we do recommend a rental car though.

השהות בבית של ג'ורג'יה היא הרבה מעבר למקום לישון בו. הבית יפיפה, מעוצב באהבה וכבוד למסורת המקומית והמשפחתית , כל פרט ורהיט נמצאים שם באהבה. מהריהוט המשופץ, ספרי האמנות, המטבח המקורי, ועד המיטות והמזרונים המפנקים. החצר הפנימית מאד נעימה ומטופחת. ג'ורג'יה מארחת נדיבה באנושיות הלבבית שלה, סיפקה לנו המלצות לסביבה, עזרה לנו בנדיבות רבה עם צ'ק אין מוקדם והיתה זמינה לכל שאלה או התיעצות. בית ואשה פשוט מעוררים השראה

Et lille godt byhus i en skøn by. I løbet af dagen kommer turisterne til byen, men om aftenen er det primært de lokale man møder, når man går ud og spiser eller får en kop kaffe. Der er mange spændende ting at se på Østkreta, så dagen gik hurtigt. Huset var rigtig fint og meget rent. Udsigten fra altanen fra enestående. Der var stillet en velkomstkurv frem, så man følte sig meget velkommen. Værterne var søde at skrive når der var noget relevant (eksempelvis at vi skulle passe på i trafikken da der både var lidt regn og vejarbejde fra lufthavnen👍).

Wir hatten eine sehr schöne Zeit auf Kreta und in der Unterkunft von Marina! Wir waren zu zweit mit Kind unterwegs. Insofern war es sehr praktisch, dass der Strand von Stalida fußläufig nur ein paar hundert Meter entfernt ist. Zu dritt konnten wir dort gut schlafen und morgens auf der Terrasse frühstücken. Gekocht haben wir nicht - wenig aufwändige Essen wären möglich gewesen. Parken kann man kostenlos direkt in der Straße. Das Appartement ist liebevoll und schön eingerichtet und es war sehr sauber. Kommunikation mit Marina ist schnell und einfach. Ankunft auch mit Code möglich. Also gerne wieder, herzliche Empfehlung. Vielen Dank!

Une magnifique escapade en Crête dans un super logement. Charikleia sera toujours là pour vous que ce soit pour répondre à vos questions, pour vous donner de bonnes recommandations et même passant apporter quelques douceurs traditionnelles. Le logement est très bien situé calme et reposant avec tout le matériel pour être à l'aise durant le séjour. Vous avez à proximité même pas 5 minutes à pied une petite supérette et à 10 minutes à pied la plage et de petits restaurants (attention début novembre seulement 4 restaurants ouverts). Pour vous rendre à Elafonisi ou Balos prévoyez 3h10 et 3h45 de route. Pour une famille de trois nous avons vraiment appréciés ce logement largement vivable en famille. La piscine est un réel plus. Ce fût de superbes vacances et je vous conseille vraiment ce logement. Encore merci pour votre amicalité et votre générosité. Merci de nous trois !
