The Kyoto machiya, which shapes the beautiful scenery of Kyoto, has been restructured into a highly airtight and insulated building so that you can spend comfortably in the steamy summer and cold winter that is unique to Kyoto, leaving the structure of the time. From the Japanese-style room on the first floor, you can see the tsubo garden with the imagery of the "open space" (* garden leading to the tea room). In addition, we have prepared a sofa so that you can look at the tsubo garden while relaxing relaxing in the hallway. At night, you can spend healing time while looking at the lit-up tsubo garden. There are two bedrooms on the second floor, with two single beds and one double bed. When you open the window from the living room, the semi-open-air bath directly connected to the garden invites guests to the best healing experience regardless of the season. The bathtub is made of Shigaraki-yaki, produced in a kiln in Shiga Prefecture. The far infrared effect warms the body to the core and makes it difficult for the bath to cool down. Why not relax from the daily grind while enjoying a drink and taking in the beautiful Japanese garden? The Japanese-style room on the second floor features a shoji screen with a Mondrian-style design. The bedroom headboard is designed to resemble the Tateyama mountain range. This place used to be one big guesthouse, but during Covid19, I have stopped running the guesthouse and I moved in with my wife and 2 kids. Still I didn't want to give up so I left the good parts.
