This is the first private lodging facility in Iwadeyama area. It is a 55-year-old Japanese traditional wooden Heike. The bath, washroom, toilet, and kitchen area are remodeled at the end of 2023. There are 3 bedrooms and 6 sets of futons, so it is recommended for families and groups. There is an air conditioner in the 3 rooms between the LDK, the double Japanese-style room and the board. Parking There is free parking on the premises.(Up to three vehicles) [Surroundings] It is an 8-minute walk from JR Iwadeyama Station, an 8-minute walk to a nearby convenience store, and good access throughout the town. Share Village Machimura

This is an old thatched house built in 143 years ago. The family that has lived in the house for generations has protected it, but it was planned to be demolished because of the financial issues in 2014. In order to preserve the original landscape of the satoyama for the next generation, we revitalize the house as a membership guest house. However, the activities were stopped due to the pandemic. In June 2024 we reopened the house as a private accommodation place (rental vacation house).

A compact bathroom features a modern toilet beside a small window that allows natural light. A bath mat with a cat design lies on the floor adding a touch of decor. The walls are finished with a textured light-colored plaster.

Relax and cozy. Entire house is for you in the National Park. Mountain view from the all windows and you only hear the sounds of nature. You can enjoy all the season with different experience. Only winter season, there is free shuttle bus service from Geto Ski Resort from Kitakami station to the accommodation. 3min to get bus stop and 15min to access Ski Station. The time schedule is on them website. The bus stop Name is "Semi Onsen". We can transfer from the train station with extra fee.

First, the hosts were very gracious and welcoming. They made me feel right at home, and took great care of me. As for the place, it's in a very quite and peaceful area. It's very rustic and cozy. And Jin the dog and Maru the cat are very cute and fun to play with. Thank you for hosting me!

The regular dorm room also has a large bed, so if you bring a backpack, you can easily store it. There were also lights and hangers inside, so I was able to stay comfortably without having to leave the bed. Next time, I want to stay in the room on the second floor!

Would 100% recommend staying here for any traveller coming to Japan looking to stay in a traditional Japanese home. Hiro, Nozomi and Satoko made me feel at home right away. The house was very clean and the amenities were excellent. The area is very peaceful and conveniently located. I never felt unsafe walking around, even at night. I was collected from the airport and even got to experience Japanese home cooking thanks to the hosts. Thank you for having me!
