Vacation rentals in Kitagunma District

This place is not only good to rest, but to meet new people from all over the world and share interesting stories. We stayed two nights and regretted not booking for longer. We booked a room for 2 with a private bathroom, as it was our first time staying at a hostel and didn’t want to be uncomfortable, but we were barely in the room. There is a shared kitchen where you can cook if you want to, and a bar/restaurant where you can interact with the lovely staff and other guests. We will definitely be back.

Our stay was magical. The house is full of soft light, natural materials, and poetic details - it’s calming and relaxing to be there. Everything is simple but perfectly clean and carefully considered. Jhunn and his lovely wife were very kind and welcoming, and go out of their way to make you feel comfortable and cared for. Naturally as the traditional shoji screens and sliding doors are old and delicate, there is almost no sound insulation. It was no problem for us but something to be aware of if your companions snore! If you hire a car there are plenty of spectacular lakes, valleys, shrines, hikes and scenic drives to explore, we easily occupied 5 full days. The history or the home, warmth of the hosts, and spectacular natural beauty of the area made this an unforgettable stay, for which we will always feel grateful.

It's a special spot. The food was amazing. Host charming. Highly recommended.
