“Kevin’s place is really convenient to the Killington area. It’s right next door to the snow tubing area and just down the hill from the slopes. There are a lot of great restaurants in the area as well if you don’t want to buy groceries and cook for yourself. We kept the heat pretty low and we were still plenty warm, even with the wind and snow blowing like crazy outside. Having ceiling fans and a tower fan are reason enough for me give 5/5 stars! Even if it’s cold, we still like having moving air, and this was such a great thing to see when we got in. This apartment is on the 6th floor. There’s an elevator, but during our stay it was out of order. This is just a heads up for future guests who might struggle with so many steps. I assume the elevator works the majority of the time, it just happened to be down during our stay. Kevin provides so much helpful information before the stay and has the same info laminated and available in the apartment. I fully appreciate being given so much info. I wish other hosts provided the same amount of info about their property! If it’s windy outside, you’ll definitely get a lot of noise from the fireplace. Nothing you can do to avoid it. You can still build a fire, just be sure to get plenty of small, dry wood from the wood piles to get it going and some bigger pieces to use once it’s going. The fireplace is small, so be sure to get plenty of wood because you’ll go through it pretty quick. Parking was easy. The roads are plowed right away, so even with 6” of snow, it wasn’t an issue for us to go anywhere. If you’re skiing or boarding, there’s a bus that runs constantly during the day and picks up right by the door. Kevin is really responsive to emails and messages, so don’t hesitate to reach out to him if you’re looking to stay here or during your stay. We really enjoyed our time in Killington and Kevin’s apartment was perfect for us during our trip.”
Modest, clean, and comfortable private room in Killington, VT. Most desirable location! Whiffletree Condos. 1/2 mile from Killington Snowshed Base Lodge/Grand Hotel, right on the mountain, and on the free shuttle route. Skiers, snowboarders, mountain bikers, leaf peepers, thru-hikers of the Long Trail/Appalachian Trail, business travelers, event goers, wedding parties...all welcome!
“The place is clean and near the ski resort. There are amazing restaurants nearby. Alex is a great skier and I had him for to days to coach me on what to improve w my ski skills. The room is the only place being rented and not the whole place so I have to find another place where it is more spacious as I couldn’t possibly just stay in the room after skiing. Thank you Alex for the ski lessons. I highly recommend Alex place without reservation if you are only looking for a room/bed after a day’s activities. Morie aka Liberty”
Short walk (200 yards) to Homestretch ski trail at Killington ski mountain. Trail is weather dependent. If the nearby trail is not open, it will not be available. Typically available late December to mid or late March. Close to hiking and biking trails, golf, nightlife, rivers and lakes. Large open living space and lots of sleeping space makes our home comfortable for large groups. Driveway accommodates at least 5 cars. Enjoy relaxing in the hot tub, sauna or spending time by the fire.
“This was the perfect spot for a weekend of snowboarding in Killington! Cammie and Brian were really quick to respond to my questions about ski trails nearby, and unfortunately the closest one was closed and already drying up, so we were only able to ski out – not in. But that is better than nothing! It was a short 10-minute drive to the downtown area with restaurants and groceries, which was convenient. The home itself was great- very spacious inside and beautiful views. I love that they didn’t try to cram as many bunk beds as possible into each room, but instead had queen and king beds throughout. We especially loved that we could bring our pup with us! We had a great time and would definitely recommend this spot to anyone visiting the area.”
