If you are in Thimphu, you just need to check yourself in to this amazing place. Its a one stop place for all your needs in Bhutan. The hospitality they offer will touch your souls to another level and the food here is to die for. All of this without digging a big hole in your pocket. Thanks PenRab for everything. You guys are the best.

Zhuochen lodge/home garden lodge

This is a very spacious, clean space to spend in Paro. The hosts are hospitable though we didn't have much time to talk with them due to our busy schedules. The rooms are comfortable and the heater is good to have as it was cold for us. The view is also very beautiful from the rooms. The dinner was a bit disappointing - we had ordered for soup, paneer and rotis which took more than 1 hour to prepare only to find that the soup was a packet soup and paneer and roti were just about ok. The breakfast was nice though a bit expensive for the quantity served. The hosts were gracious to accompany us to the annual festival and let us be a part of it with them as our driver was unable to find parking. They patiently explained the significance of the festival and that helped a lot. They also were generous to drive us back to the lodge. We wish we had more time there. We would recommend at least 3 days stay if you want to experience the place properly.
A corridor is lined with wooden paneling, featuring light-colored walls and a smooth floor. Wooden doors lead to private rooms, while soft lighting creates an inviting atmosphere throughout the space.

Yangkey Villa

First of all: Tashi and his family are extremely nice and helpful people and communication before and after arrival was great. The place is in Bondey village - a bit before Paro town but very close to the airport. It is a Bed and Breakfast more than a traditional home stay and there is a huge living room for the guests. There are shops and a few basic restaurants around. All in all a great place to stay in the Paro Valley. Will definitely choose same place if I return.
