Georgeous farm and wonderfully simple cottage with a wood burner and lovely atmosphere which was private , yet with great walks around the farm . There is an amazing walk close by to a viewing platform overlooking a magnificent gorge. Perfect for visiting Cradle mountain as it’s only about 1.25 hrs drive.

Manna Hill Farm Cottages - Mt Roland View

Jane ElizabethRating, 5 stars1 day ago
Just spectacular. We can't recommend Manna Hill Farm enough. The photos do not do this place justice! Simon and Eileen are incredibly thoughtful and so much care and attention has gone into making the cottages a wonderful place to stay. Its worth every penny and has the added bonus of Amber (a gorgeous Aussie Shephard) greeting you at check in 😊 Our only regret is that we didn't stay longer!

The most spectacular view. Outdoor surroundings is second to none. Our kids absolutely loved it. Room decor might not be 100% our style but it’s just a personal thing. House was very clean and great amenities provided.

Blackwood Park Cottages - Heritage Cottage

ZoeRating, 5 stars1 month ago
We loved staying here with our two children - the location is fantastic with beautiful views from the house, which itself is a stunning historic cottage. The beds are v comfortable also. We walked to Alum Cliffs, which was glorious. We saw a platypus in the creek down at Mole Creek. Mole Creek caves are also worth visiting, most especially for the glow worms. Wish we had stayed longer! I can imagine a relaxing week in beautiful Tasmania staying here.

AAA Granary Accomm - LOFT- Studio

SamRating, 5 stars2 months ago
We stayed overnight before heading on to Cradle Mountain the next morning. The location is excellent which is only 45 min drive to get there. The place is off the main track but still easy to find using google map. As the closest town Sheffield is about 30min drive so best to stock up all you need and prepare your own meal. The place offers good facilities to cook your own.

Kings View Farm ‘The Cottage’ - side of Mt Roland

DamirRating, 5 stars3 days ago
We had a truly wonderful stay at Kings Farm – surrounded by picturesque views, charming farm life, and the warmest hospitality from our lovely host Tracy and her delightful dog, King Edward. Every detail was thoughtfully considered – you’ll find everything you need, and the design and overall atmosphere are stunning. The fireplace adds a cosy touch, perfect after a day outdoors. All the amenities were excellent, and the place was spotless, tidy, and incredibly comfortable. We especially loved the little touches in the décor – it’s clear that great care went into creating such a beautiful, welcoming space. We also really enjoyed spending time with Tracy and the animals – the sheep, alpaca, cow, and chickens made feeding time a highlight of our visit. The location is ideal too – just a 40-minute drive to Cradle Mountain National Park. We loved every minute of our stay and genuinely didn’t want to leave. And those Anzac biscuits? Absolutely delicious!

Our stay at Max’s coach house was so wonderful! The house is lovely, with thoughtful touches throughout. The kitchen is extremely well stocked. Max is an extremely gracious host who truly went out of his way to make our stay a memorable one, with little treats waiting for us when we got to the Airbnb and also showed us around the farm! All in all, would definitely recommend :)

We had a wonderful stay! The house was cozy, clean, and had everything we needed. The view was absolutely stunning — we were lucky enough to see the aurora one night right from the balcony, which was truly unforgettable. The hosts were kind, warm, and very thoughtful throughout our stay. Highly recommend this place to anyone visiting Tasmania!

For the LOCATION: The location is PERFECT for people who want to visit Cradle Mountain. The living place has a fantastic view of the mountains. It is about a 15-minute drive to the closest town of Tasmania. For the HOUSE: Everything is well-maintained and tidy. The facility is old but enough to use. Do not recommend BBQ, because the BBQ facility is outside and it would bother other neighbours. The kitchen comes with some kitchen utensils but it needs to be further cleaned. For the ENVIRONMENT: If you are an animal lover, this place is the best for you! There are lots of animals and also a cute kitty in the reception :)

Secret Little Eden

PaulaRating, 5 stars2 days ago
There is nothing about Secret Little Eden to find fault with. The house is beautiful and private, with so many interesting and fun things to keep you occupied. Loads of music, books and DVDs to make use of, the wonderful spa under the stars, even musical instruments to have a play with if you’re so inclined. Regrettably we only had one night at Dom’s place on our way through but if we ever find ourselves in the neighbourhood this will be our must stay location. Such a friendly and welcoming host, not to mention all the beautiful animals we got to meet as well. Th Al you again Dom, we sincerely hope to see you again sometime.

We stayed at Towering Gums Three for eight night. The space was lovely for our family of four. Lovely large kitchen, dining area and sofas. Family memories made sitting on the balcony watching the sun set and the stars come out at night. The window seat in the kitchen was every bodies favorite spot to enjoy the sunshine. It was very relaxing to be amongst nature, with views from every window.

Badger's View Cottage farmstay

FionaRating, 5 stars5 days ago
We had a lovely, peaceful stay at Badgers View cottage. Diana and Steve were attentive hosts with great local recommendations. We were greeted with an extensive breakfast tray and had an evening drive around the farm. Dinner at a local restaurant (Steve's recommendation) was excellent. The low light area made for perfect star gazing conditions and fellow tourists took photos of an aurora. A great place to stay.

This place is incredible I have travelled and stayed many places around Tasmania and this one would be my favourite. The peacefulness in the surroundings and the beautiful outlook and mountains is something special. If you love the outdoors and wanting something beautiful to stay in there, this is your place. We absolutely loved our buggy tour and it felt full of adventure seeing so much wildlife The cabin was so clean and tidy and beautiful to look at. If you are wanting a place that feels like home yet incorporates Tasmania and all its beauty, then this is the place to go. The room was modern and comfortable and everything was thought of including our beautiful breakfast.. the host are so welcoming and so easy to communicate with. We are so grateful for our time there and we cannot wait to return. This place is truly heavenly.

Roland Chalet - Family (4)

LukeRating, 5 stars1 day ago
We had a lovely stay at Angela's place. Such a beautiful setting and our daughters loved visiting all the animals. The accommodation was very clean and comfortable with everything needed to cook. It was lovely to arrive to a basket of goodies, including fresh bread, eggs, jams, butter and olive oil. We had easy access to Cradle Mountain and all the beauty it had to offer. Tank you for such a lovely stay.
A tranquil lakeside scene is presented, with a rustic wooden hut partially submerged in shallow water. Surrounding vegetation includes shrubs and a solitary tree. Fog-shrouded mountains rise in the background, contributing to the serene atmosphere of the landscape.

Castra, Cradle area, Big breakfast ,ensuited room

RachelRating, 5 stars15 months ago
Peter and Susie were the perfect hosts! They were proactive in letting us know that there are no grocery stores or restaurants nearby, so we had plenty of time to buy our own food (however, they offered to cook us dinner). Peter gave us plenty of local recommendations, insider information, when we arrived and they offered excellent hiking tips for Cradle Mountain. The suite was large and in pristine condition. The bed, linens, and pillows were super comfortable (we loved the heating blanket). Lovely toiletries provided and a nice hot shower. We thought the filtered water tap was a fantastic surprise addition. There was also a kettle and fridge in our room, with our personal supply of coffee and tea. The 2 course breakfast was the cherry on top, absolutely delicious. The only downfall, which should not prevent you from running to stay here, is the shower head being a little low and not having the best pressure.
