The place was as described and served our purposes. We very much enjoyed our stay and the host was really quick to respond to any questions we had. I was so happy to be able to bring our dog and have an easily accessible yard to take her out and spigot to clean her with after the beach. Having to bring all of our own linens, beach chairs, toiletries etc was a little tough for just the weekend. It felt the price of the stay was a bit high given that our stay was after labor day, on the bay, and required us to bring so many things. That may just be what the pricing is in the area, this was our first time staying, so I don't have a great frame of reference. Overall a very nice experience.

Patrick and Angel's place was a great winter escape for our group of six people and our dog. They have every detail covered, and were very easy to communicate with. We wouldn't hesitate to stay again!

Took the family for a quick get away before school starts and this airbnb was on point. Very peaceful and relaxing. Hadn’t seen stars at night in a long time. My family had a great time definitely worth it.

We had a great time! Place was very secluded and peaceful. We got to enjoy morning walks on the beach, collecting seashells and hearing of the ocean waves crash with nobody else around. The bed was comfortable, kitchen had all amenities that we needed, both bathrooms were clean and we got to enjoy a nice bath even. The beach had a lot of sandflies, luckily the owners had a bug spray which saved us, but you can also never go wrong with bringing one as well! Thank you so much for letting us stay at your awesome beach house!

Comfortable, very clean cottage in a great location. Has everything you need to cook meals, just bring your food and seasonings. Walking the beach every morning and evening was wonderful. We only used one bed and it was very comfortable. We had one rain day at the cottage it was a great place to hang and read our books. Birding right from the deck. One morning we watched a couple of eagles fight over a horseshoe crab and a blue heron visited every morning on the beach. Incredible sunrises!

Very secluded with a spectacular view. High tide comes up right under the house (all the houses on the block are built this way) so you're literally staying right over the water. Would definitely rent again.

The Sandcastle was excellent, just what we needed! The path to the beach was right behind the house. The kitchen was well stocked with everything we needed to make meals together. The house was clean and decorated for beach relaxation. It is far enough away from things to be private, but also a short drive to other towns and beaches along the coast. We absolutely loved our stay. We had a restful, quiet vacation and loved it all.

Ken and Lana's beach cottage was adorable, filled with gorgeous artwork and unique beach finds, and even better in person than it looks in the photos! We did plenty of walks along the beach, which was mostly empty and very peaceful. I loved that we could sit in bed or on the couch and see out over the ocean. I didn't realize that there were no curtains/shades so if you're not a morning person - be sure to bring an eye mask to sleep with as the sunrise is extremely bright starting around 5am! It was easy to get to and only a quick 15-20 minute drive into downtown Dover. I would absolutely stay here again!

We had a great girls getaway here. It was extremely peaceful and just as Alison described, yet even better. We enjoyed eating inside with the big window overlooking the water, and also enjoyed eating and relaxing on the deck and beach. The home was immaculate and instructions were very well laid out in a home manual. We had everything we needed there. We highly recommend eating at JP Wharf's restaurant just down the street. What a neat seafood experience with a lot of options from right off the boat. We absolutely enjoyed our stay and will definitely come again to take in all the peaceful surroundings.

What a location. Enjoyed spotting ships, walking the beach, collecting sea shells and watching a plethora of bird species. Really great deal. Adam was amazing during and after our stay. Over and beyond service.

The house was cute, clean and cozy. Steve and Lauren were wonderful and responsive. This was the perfect place to bring two young children. There were plenty indoor and beach toys and books. There was very easy beach access right through the back yard. The waves were pretty calm - not too rough but enough waves to be exciting for little ones. We had a blast checking out the tide pools in the evenings. The beach wasn’t too crowded. We would definitely stay here again! Tip- mosquito spray is a must!

Stayed with young kiddos and it was great!! Quiet and had lots to do. We’ll definitely be coming back again!

The house is lovely and exactly as advertised. The area is very quiet, with the beach just steps away from the back door, and then very few people on the beach itself (this may have been partially driven by the cool weather we had). The house was very clean, kitchen well stocked, lots of space to spend time both inside or outside of the house. It was nice that there was a kayak, and we also brought our own paddle boards and enjoyed spending some time on the water. The one thing we had not anticipated was the distance to nearby attractions. We wanted a secluded area - which this was - but getting to rehoboth and other nearby attractions (Cape Henlopen State Park) was further than we anticipated (approx 45 minutes each way). Although the closest town/groceries/convenience items are about 6 miles away, it was still about a 15 minute drive each way, so it's best to arrive at the house well stocked if you don't want to go on too many grocery runs. Beautiful house and if you are looking for a peaceful and quiet escape this place is for you! Oh and also the host was wonderful and very upfront about a minor situation at the house (dryer), which was very much appreciated.

This rental was great, we met 2 other families for a long weekend and we were all comfortable and had a great time. The beach is right out the door and very close to a beautiful nature reserve. Host was responsive when a need came up it was resolved quickly.

My family had a great stay at Fortescue beach. Quiet town, beautiful sunsets, a few nights of skies clear enough to see the Perseid meteor shower. Beach access from the house, easy kayaking and paddle boarding, calm waves and shallower water on the bay was great for kids.

This is the perfect spot for a large group! There is plenty of room inside and out, with beds for everyone. It was also great to have multiple rooms with TVs so people could relax, and ample parking space. A great find and great host!

Fantastic beach getaway. The home was clean and comfortable with extra room even bigger than the pictures. The views were spectacular and the deck actually is accessible from so many places. The directions for keyless entry were clear, but when I wasn’t understanding them the hosts responded immediately and we got in within moments. Comfortable beds and plenty of things in the kitchen - can opener, coffee maker and wine opener as well as things like cutting board and baking sheets. Fridge is huge and there’s tons of ice. Definitely would recommend.
