This is a beautifully appointed house in a very quiet bit of the forest. At the end of a track, so no passing traffic and you can walk straight up the hill from the house and find signed routes. There are lots of nice, comfy spots in the house to sit and look at the forest. It felt much bigger than the photos show. The fittings and furnishings are comfy and seemed new. The kitchen has a good set of equipment and nice cutlery and crockery. There was also a generous amount useful store cupboard food, such as oils, spices, coffee and teas. A good place to explore the forest from.

I celebrated New Year with 3 friends at Veronica's cottage. Everything was nice and clean, the cottage was complete, and there was a nicely decorated Christmas tree for us. The area is beautiful, and it is very quiet. Perfect for a week to find peace close to nature. Restaurants and supermarket can be prepared with a car, but not super close. We stayed in winter, then there is quite little to do in the region. We were super satisfied, and it was perfect for us to read books for a week, play games, cook, nature in, and be cozy with each other.

A big thank you to Emilie and her father who were able to make us have a great stay thanks to their hospitality, kindness and thoughtfulness! Perfect place for relaxing and nice location to enjoy the hikes and nearby activities! It will also have been an opportunity to discover the Zazen meditation at the Buddhist Zen Temple of the village (by reservation)! We will definitely be back! Thanks for everything!!!

Great cottage ,very clean and very well equipped. No shops and restaurants nearby, a greenway to recommend. Great potential in terms of walking and maybe by bike but little info since there is no tourist office nearby. Quiet and cool place. Regret that checkout is as early as 10am. Recommended for a nice stay especially if the sun is out. We'll definitely be back.

A clean and cosy house with the loveliest of hosts. The owners have been very helpful and kind, they even welcomed us with delightful home-made Christmas cookies and coffee. The house is situated in a small village within driving distance to beautiful towns and walking trails of Moselle and the Elsas.

We were in the Palatinate for a longer hiking weekend and were warmly welcomed by Sabine. We had a room with bed/table and a very large bathroom with sauna /lounge chair. That was a great surprise. On the last evening we also used the sauna and it worked perfectly. Sabine and her partner gave good tips for hiking huts and restaurants.

There were six of us in the apartment and we enjoyed the time there. It is spacious and lovingly furnished, also the quiet location was perfect for us. Nearby there is a lot of forest, perfect for walking and by car or bus you can get to the city quickly. The landlady is super hospitable and we felt welcome from the beginning. We'll be back if we're in the area again!

We spent several days at Nathalie's . The accommodation is very nice and warm. Everything is done to make you feel good . We were there so good that we were able to enjoy a relaxing day too , games are available to spend good times with the family . We also slept very well, in a quiet area . We had a wonderful stay at Caroline's. The highlights for us were the many games for children, the festive decoration, the warm wood fire, the positive energy of the house and the calm of the place. Our stay in Birkenwald was a lovely experience. The cottage, located in a very quiet environment, is comfortable, extremely clean and very well arranged. Everything is decorated with taste. My family and I can only recommend staying with Matthieu who is an ideal host: friendly, helpful, welcoming, attentive, responsive. We'll be happy to come back to Birkenwald for a stay at La Grange.
