Vacation rentals in Katsuyama

It is a renovated traditional house with a lot of history, and my family and I had a relaxing stay!I also enjoyed talking to Koji!

I used it for a gathering with friends I met online. I had never used a guest house before, so I was worried about various things, but I am satisfied with the kind service I received. I was planning to swim at Mizushima, but the ferry was canceled due to the approaching typhoon, but despite the cancellation period having passed, they offered to refund me, and I felt that they were a very considerate host from the first contact to check-out. We are talking among friends about using it again when staying in Tsuruga with a large group. It was so nice to spend the day with you.

It was very nice to have bread and drinks for breakfast, towels changed daily, and garbage collected. The room has gas heating as well as air conditioning, and it was warm even during the New Year holidays. There is no TV, but there is a large monitor and a computer, so it was enough with internet news and TVer. The first floor has a dining room, kitchen, and a large Japanese-style room. There is a Japanese-style room where one person can sleep comfortably. The second floor has a bedroom for two people. There seems to be a bedroom for three people on the third floor. It's a mattress type, so it's as easy to use as a bed. The Noto earthquake occurred during our stay. I evacuated to the mountainside because I didn't know the land at 5 meters above sea level. At that time, I was able to contact the owner immediately. It was also nice to order New Year's Eve dinner from the restaurant next door. (I think the reservation deadline is quite early) If you're going to cook, it's a good idea to bring some of your own food. We brought a portable IH stove, a sukiyaki pot, a pot to boil New Year's soba, an oven, a yakiniku plate, etc.

Staying here is the best decision I have made on my (so far) 3 week Japan trip. This place had the least reviews of all places I’m staying at - but it turned out to be so amazing. The host is so sweet, kind, (very) responsive and helpful. I needed help with understanding how to visit Shirikawa-go, and she helped me understand how to do it. She really did everything to make my stay amazing. The guest house overall is according to the photos and description, and it felt really nice being there. Peaceful atmosphere and everything. If you want to experience something truly Japanese, I think this especially then is an amazing choice. Also, the Wi-fi was amazing! Can’t remember the exact speed I had… but I believe it was consistently over 130mbps. Worked extremely well. This is fairly easy to access from the nearest station - around a 15min walk. I can SO highly recommend this place - and I want to come back here again - hopefully I get to do so soon. Thank you!! ☺️

We couldn't find a better host. Glen was very friendly and helped us a lot with transportation to and from the train station. The accommodation was just as advertised. Very comfortable and spacious. There are no transportation stations nearby, but it was very easy to get around by Uber and taxi.

It's a very nice room with a sink inside the room. The kitchen is spacious and equipped with with everything you need for cooking. Even though it is a shared washroom, the toilet and the shower area is very clean. We were able to have good night sleep in the room as the surrounding is so quiet. The location is especially good, just a few minutes walk to the JR station and walking distance to tourist attractions. Would love to stay here again!

Had a wonderful stay at Mizuya’s beautiful home! Everything was spotless and amenities were excellent from laundry to comfort and beautiful relaxing garden views. Would totally stay again! The host was so sweet and kind! Above and beyond our expectations. Thank you Mizuya!
