House vacation rentals in Kato Gouves

We can highly recommend this accommodation. It's tucked away in a very secluded spot, which makes it wonderfully peaceful. At the same time, you can reach restaurants and a mini market in just a few minutes. A car is essential! The garden is stunning. The biodiversity is incredible. There's always something new to discover. The house is quite small and simply furnished, but that was absolutely fine. Everything was clean, and that's what matters most. The long driveway leading to the house can be a bit intimidating—it just slopes down without any railing or guard. But that’s just part of the Cretan charm. Giannis was always very friendly and helpful—thank you for everything! We also got to know the neighboring family and even visited them. Such kind people. And the animals! Aphroditi the horse, a peacock, chickens, and turkeys—our daughter loved them. Overall a great experience. We were very happy and would definitely recommend it. Who knows—maybe we’ll be back in a few years!

We came 5 people - my husband and I, with our 2 children and my mother-in-law. First of all, a few days before we arrived Elena (an amazing woman with a perfect english) contacted me and made sure she has all the details so she can prepare a perfect stay for us. The house was super clean and equipped, and the outside was the best! We spent hours in the pool enjoying the amazing nature around us. Elena and her husband Yiorgos are wonderful people - they were very kind, caring and responsive. We wish we could come again next summer 🙏🏻

Ein echter Geheimtipp für alle, die Ruhe, Natur und Privatsphäre suchen. Die Unterkunft liegt idyllisch gelegen, umgeben von vielen Olivenbäumen und Bergen– perfekt zum Abschalten. Besonders gefallen haben uns der wunderschöne Pool, der gepflegte Tennisplatz und die erfrischende Außendusche – ein echtes Highlight nach einem heißen Tag in der Sonne. Alles war sehr sauber und liebevoll gestaltet. Magdalena war jederzeit erreichbar und hat uns alle aufkommenden Fragen schnell beantwortet. Wir haben uns rundum wohlgefühlt und kommen auf jeden Fall wieder! Eine Taverne, eine Tankstelle und eine kleine Bäckerei sind innerhalb von 15 Minuten zu Fuß erreichbar. Da es allerdings keinen Bürgersteig gibt, ist ein Auto auf jeden Fall zu empfehlen! Zum nächsten Strand, nach Heraklion und zum Flughafen sind es mit dem Auto ca. 15 Minuten.

Nous avons passé un peu moins d’une semaine dans le logement et nous avons adoré ! La vue, l’emplacement, le calme, la tranquillité ainsi que la grande propreté des lieux sont vraiment appréciables. Le logement est idéalement situé, à proximité de toutes les commodités : restaurants, supermarchés, boutiques, etc. Izabela est une hôte en or : accueillante, gentille, patiente et toujours souriante ! Un immense merci à elle pour son aide précieuse lorsque notre voiture de location est tombée en panne. Rien à redire, que du positif. Je recommande ce logement à 100 %

We stayed as a family of six, four adults and two children (8 and 5). The set up was really comfortable and worked perfectly for us. The outdoor pool area is great and our two kids loved it - especially as there were lots of inflatables left to play with. We arrived at 3am. Xristos offered to meet us, but when we suggested with young children we'd prefer just to get in and get to bed, then meet up after it was no problem at all. We had instructions to call when we arrived, and the gate was opened for us. We were blown away by how well supplied the house was. Xristos was in touch in the week before to check if we needed anything in particular and couldn't have been more helpful in making sure we had everything we needed to start our holiday. Then we had a delivery of local fruit and wild artichokes as they were in season. Amazing. There was a dust storm before we arrived. Xristos promptly sorted this too. A great and relaxed place to stay, with an unbelievably good host. Thanks!

The villa is clean, well stocked, and spacious. Simos was incredibly responsive and great to communicate with. The area is lovely, with a few excellent restaurants in walking distance, wineries and olive farms really close, and Knossos Palace also a short drive away. It’s a great place to unwind and the proximity to the Heraklion airport is also a bonus if you’re flying off the island.

Nous sommes venus en famille pour quelques jours et nous avons été accueillis par la maman de Lefteris. L’accueil a été plus que agréable cette femme, respire la joie de vivre outre le AIRBNB on voit qu’elle fait ça car elle aime les gens. Nous avons pu discuter à plusieurs reprises avec Lefteris qui a toujours été hyper réactif, tout comme sa maman sur place. Nous avons adoré notre séjour et si nous repassons dans le coin, on hésitera pas à revenir. Encore merci pour tout et pour les prochains voyageurs. Profitez bien et réservez sans crainte.

Es war ein sehr sehr schöner Urlaub, wir konnten uns in dem schönen Haus super erholen die Aussicht war atemberaubend. Wenn wir Hilfe benötigten war immer jemand zu erreichen. Antworten kamen immer sehr schnell. Vielen Dank und wir kommen gerne wieder.☺️

Absolutely fantastic place to stay. Plenty of cafes and restaurants around the area and very close to Heraklion so easy to get around. Overall extremely affordable and as described with a very responsive host. I would definitely stay again and recommend completely.

Το σπίτι ήταν υπέροχο , νέα έπιπλα με ωραίο στυλ , ο οικοδεσπότης ήταν εκεί σε ότι χρειάστηκα !!!

I stayed with my wife and in-laws for three nights. The home was spacious and we enjoyed having the extra room. Thomais left us some treats in the fridge. A great home base. Note the beds are the firm side. The main living area has Air Conditioning but the upstairs bedrooms did not.

Peatusime villas neljakesi. Mõlemad magamistoad väga mugavad. Igas toas olemas konditsioneer. Väga armas üllatus majuta poolt oli see, et külmkapis olid külastajatele olemas söögid ja joogid ning lisaks värsked puuviljad/köögiviljad. Selleks, et oleks mugav puhkust nautida ning saarel ringi liikuda on mõistlik võtta rendiauto, aga sellega aitas majutaja Manolis heameelega. Samas lähim rand, toidupood, bussipeatus ja restoran on 10min jalutuskäigu kaugusel. Majutajad Daniela ja Manolis on väga sõbralikud ja abivalmid, et puhkus kulgeks mõnusalt. Kindlasti soovitame 100% antud majutust kõigile! Kui peaksime veelkord Kreetat külastama, siis kindlasti valiksime sama majutuskoha. 😊☀️

My wife and I toured the Villa in the listing, and it was absolutely gorgeous, but we stayed at the single story Villa below and our review will reflect our experience there. One thing worth noting about the listed Villa is that it is two stories, both beautifully appointed. Our single story Villa, a part of the same complex, was beautiful, peaceful, and restful. The Villa was impeccably clean, the space spacious and airy, completely modern and luxurious but without pretense. I could live there year round and count myself fortunate. The location is fifteen or twenty minutes from a number of popular beaches, yet in the countryside far from the noise, clutter, and confusion of the city. The town has everything you need and nothing you don’t. If anything could be better than the villa it’s the host, Manos. Manos is the most friendly and generous host imaginable; a gentleman and beautiful person in every sense. If I have any regrets about the villa it’s that I didn’t book it for longer.

Un séjour juste exceptionnel un logement au top du top. Plus que parfait tout était parfaitement propre et rangé. De nombreux équipements machine à laver avec lessive, lave vaisselle, étendoir. Frigo avec des collations. Une vue juste exceptionnelle. Giorgos a été très réactif dès que nous en avions besoin. Proximité de tout restaurant, de la mer. Giorgos est très arrangeant. On vous recommande à 200%. Merci pour ce séjour inoubliable.

Zum zweiten Mal haben wir dieses wunderschöne Haus genossen. Es war ein Gefühl von nach Hause kommen. Auch als wir gesundheitlich in Not kamen, wurden wir bestens versorgt und bekamen großartige Hilfe. Wir können dieses Haus wärmstens empfehlen, es ist wirklich toll und wir haben so gut geschlafen, wie lange nicht mehr. Wir kommen auf jeden Fall gerne wieder…

This villa is absolutely beautiful, offering stunning ocean and mountain views. It’s the perfect house for a large family gathering. The kitchen is fully equipped with all the cooking essentials. Located just a 20-minute drive from Heraklion port, the house is impeccably clean—there wasn’t a speck of dust, even on the balcony. George is incredibly responsive; he replies to messages within minutes. The two gated parking spaces were a definite plus for us. We were three couples staying for five nights, and we had a wonderful time!

Nikos was an out standing host - the property was second to none - really pleased I stayed - if I ever go back to Crete, I will definitely stay at this property - thanks again Nikos for being so friendly and helpful, bo5h you and your wife - by far the best Airbnb I've ever stayed at.

Le logement d'Elias est très agréable, le petit jardin est super pour se reposer en profitant des belles couleurs des fleurs. L'appartement est grand, confortable, très lumineux et vous y trouvez tout ce dont vous avez besoin et plus encore (des jeux de société). La cuisine est bien équipée tout comme le reste des pièces. La literie est très confortable. Le logement est très propre, bien décoré et les placards contiennent de quoi épicer vos plats, faire du café, etc. A notre arrivée une surprise culinaire nous attendait pour nous souhaiter la bien venue. L'emplacement privé pour la voiture est un avantage non négligeable. La mer n'est pas loin et une digue permet de se promener en profitant du bruit des vagues. Elias est très réactif, il a répondu à toutes mes questions rapidement. Il est à l'écoute Je recommande certainement le logement d'Elias

We had an amazing stay at the Elaia Luxury Villa! Everything was exactly like in the pictures super modern, clean, and beautifully arranged. The location was perfect, very peaceful but still close to everything we needed. The host was incredibly friendly and helpful throughout our stay. Check-in and communication were smooth and easy. We would definitely come back highly recommended!

The residence is amazing, close to everything, clean, spacious and George is the best host ever. He amswers instantly, shows up if you need anything and is always there to help. Recommend.

Wir hatten einen großartigen Aufenthalt in der Villa in Gouves! Die Unterkunft bietet alles, was man für einen entspannten und abwechslungsreichen Urlaub braucht: einen schönen Pool, einen Projektor im Schlafzimmer für gemütliche Filmabende, die Nähe zum Strand, einen Tischtennistisch sowie etwas Fitness-Equipment für sportliche Abwechslung. Besonders hervorheben möchten wir Nikolaos, den sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit war. Er war jederzeit ansprechbar – als wir z. B. einen zusätzlichen Sonnenschirm brauchten, hat er uns direkt einen gebracht. Auch bei einem Stromausfall in der Straße hat er sich sofort informiert und reagiert, was wir sehr geschätzt haben. Insgesamt eine wunderschöne Unterkunft mit tollem Service – wir würden jederzeit wiederkommen und können die Villa absolut empfehlen!

A charming cottage with lots of outdoor space. Completely private enclosed garden with an outdoor shower. Lovely beach only 15 minutes walk away and plenty of parking if you choose to drive there. Excellent selection of Tavernas in easy walking distance (15 minutes). Highly recommended if you like a rural retreat.
