Alice’s home is a truly peaceful sanctuary — a modern, elegant refuge where nature and design come together in perfect harmony. The clean architectural lines, serene colour palette, and beautifully curated interiors made the space feel both calming and luxurious. Every detail, from the layout to the lighting, felt deeply intentional and inviting. The three of us — close friends — had such a wonderful time here. Whether we were sharing meals, soaking in the spa under the stars, or simply unwinding in the serene indoor spaces, the home offered the perfect setting to reconnect, laugh, and rest. The surrounding trees, birdsong, and lush gardens made it feel like we were held by nature the entire time — utterly magical. Alice was a phenomenal host: warm, communicative, and thoughtful throughout. She’s created a space that’s more than just a place to stay — it’s a place to pause, exhale, and truly be. We left feeling restored and full of gratitude. Can't wait to return, thank you Alice.

Cindy's whare was the perfect place to host a house of kaumātua. It was clean, pristine, the kitchen had everything to prepare meals. We were thankful for the neighbours too as they reminded us about rubbish/recycling day in and amongst a busy film festival schedule. A beautiful spot.

We were very grateful to be able to share a long weekend with the dogs at this traditional family-focussed Kapiti Coast bach. Very short walk to the beach, a walk or minutes drive to the fabulous Bus Stop Cafe, and close enough to provisions, cafes etc at neighboring beaches. Well set up, comfortable, clean and easy comms. We loved the location and the view from the deck is really very special. We so enjoyed our early morning walks along the beach. The bach has everything you need for a short stay, the bed & sofas are comfortable and the mini kitchen is well equiped for its size and there is an excellent BBQ. You can walk to Four Square for basics and/or a couple of cafes for coffee or lunch. We were appreciative of the milk, coffee, tea and biscuits.

This is a lovely place to stay that you feel right at home as soon as you check in. The house is fully equipped with everything that you need and more with some nice touches. The view of Kapiti Island from the balcony is majestic, a real treat for the area. Easy walk down the beach t check out the local shops for food or coffee. A delightful stay - thanks!

We travelled from Auckland to play golf in the area. The house was perfect for us: four bedrooms and old style Kiwi hospitality and generosity. Breakfast was provided as well as welcome treats. It was like visiting someone's home that you could make your own for the stay. We cooked both nights we were there (BBQ) and enjoyed the indoor/outdoor living. I will recommend Twin Palms to anyone I know going to stay in the area. Comfortable, great value for money and with all amenities. Anne Marie is also a great host. Always available but unobtrusive. We communicated by messaging throughout and she was responsive and accommodating. I commend her for the pleasure and comfort she brings to travellers staying at the property but mostly for her generosity of spirit. She really wants people to enjoy their stay and does a great job ensuring they do by providing everything they could need and more. Twin Palms is a real find. Anne Marie is the wonderful host you never meet but wish you could.

It was an absolute joy to be hosted at Mark's whare. It's a home away from home, well taken care of and well loved, but also very beautiful. The Decor is stunning and it was so easeful to stay for a week. We also forgot an important belonging, Mark went out of his way to make sure it was returned. Just a straight up good host.

A lovely town with a coastal and nature-filled vibe — very family-friendly. The host was wonderful and extremely helpful. The house is well-organized and comfortable for a family stay, including two bicycles available for guests to use. There are cute cafés around with a laid-back, holiday atmosphere.

We enjoyed our stay, surrounded by a beautiful garden and at walking distance from the beach, restaurants and bakery. Neighboring a reserve at the back was a bonus, so we had more space to play ball games. It was a great place to rest and relax, indoor or outdoor. Board games available to play when it rained. One thing to note is that the bedroom upstairs, although private, it doesn't have a door to block any noise from downstairs. It is a cute cottage with lots of space for everybody.

Thank you, Jill, – your communications were great, the house was spotless, the beds were super and the setting made this a gathering we will all remember, even though it was for Great Grandma’s funeral.

We had a great stay. The place was spacious and comfortable and had everything we needed. There was a fully fenced backyard which was perfect for my dog, the sofas were super comfortable for relaxing, the beach was just short 10 minute walk away. Brenda was super flexible and accommodating, when we had an extra person turn up on our second night Brenda allowed them to stay at no extra charge. Would definitely stay again.

Our group of grandparents (visiting from Canada), parents and 2 children aged 6 and 2 enjoyed our Easter weekend stay. The kitchen was well equipped for all our food prep; bedrooms were comfortable, spacious and clean; there were DVDs of cartoons that the adults all remember, as well as some movies. The adults enjoyed playing table tennis, and the sleepout was a good place to store bicycles. Proximity to the excellent playground, the beach and the estuary were big pluses. The enclosed yard was also helpful for keeping the children safe. And wine and chocolates were a pleasant welcoming gift. Thanks so much for sharing your attractive and comfortable bach.

My family and I had a lovely 2-night stay at Lis's property - it was peaceful and very clean, exactly like the photos. Kitchen was fully stacked with all the pots, pans, plates and cups you needed plus other kitchen appliances. Lis was very communicative and check in was easy. Would recommend this place to anyone looking to stay in the Otaki area. Plus, the little treat she left us was delicious! Thank you so much Lis x

A really good stay! The Airbnb was exactly as described—clean, well-maintained, and met all expectations. The location was perfect, especially with the local swimming pool nearby. The house was tidy, with lovely fruit trees, and conveniently close to the supermarket. I recommend this place for a comfortable and enjoyable stay!

Was visiting for the Māoriland Film Festival and this was a beautiful house in a fantastic location. Walking distance to the beach, te Chur_ch cafe and 5 min drive to town. Lots of room for everyone, 100% would recommend and hope to come back and stay again.

A fabulous place for a family holiday - my kids loved playing in the flat yard and with the beach about a minute or two walk away, it was easy to get the kids into the water and back. Raumati South four square and cafes just over 5 minutes walk away. The bach itself was well equipped with basic supplies and Amy is a wonderful host - proactive communicator and extremely kind and helpful.

Kids and I LOVED it here! Lovely house, in a very quiet (and convenient to much) neighbourhood. Property had everything one could ask for, attention to detail throughout, and there was even a small park across the road, which the kids thoroughly enjoyed. Jerry (and Team) were wonderful and very quick-to-respond hosts. We will certainly be back! Highly recommended!

Carole's place suited us perfectly. We were at a conference so did not eat at Carole's place. The spouting was dripping where we had to sand to access the lock box which was a bit annoying. The beds were very comfortable and the shower was great. We enjoyed sitting in the lounge whichhad comfortable chairs. Good off-street parking.

Stunning views. Even though you’re in the bottom floor of the house it’s very quiet and private. Roomy enough for lots of suitcases. About 5 manageable stairs and a good hand rail if you have mobility concerns. Handy basic supplies in the kitchen cupboard and laundry. Comfy sofas and bed. I can see why a lot of other reviewers go back again and again.

Michael's place is the perfect retreat. the view and beach access are amazing. We had such a lovely relaxed couple of days. There is a little Cafe a couple doors up which was perfect for an early morning coffee and a stroll along the beach.
