Vacation rentals in Kandanos

This is the kind of place you'll never forget. Wow wow wow! The view is really great; in the green, between the rocks overlooking the sea. There is no one around and you really have a cottage to yourself and that on a very beautiful piece of Crete. It is smart to do groceries on the way (in the kitchen you will find everything to cook and there is a barbecue), because a large supermarket is almost half an hour's drive and the tavern in the village is great for the day, but in the evening you do not want to take that dark route on loose stones (that road is anyway getting used to, but to do). Do you feel like checking out for a few days? Then this is really the place. We will definitely come back!

Really enjoyed our stay at Phy-Sea villa! Marianna was a great host who greeted us with a tray of fruit and cheese upon checking in and provided us with several wonderful dining and activity recommendations. The place itself is peaceful and close to Chania while feeling like you are getting away. Though there are many beaches close by, we also liked having our own pool. Looking forward to coming back!

This place is absolutely amazing. My wife and I spent our honeymoon at Aikaterinis apartment and we were completely satisfied. The inside provides everything what we needed. The description was absolutely accurate. The fridge is very spacious and there is a freezer as well. We cooked quite a lot therefore this was very helpful for us. The pool outside is very clean and also the temperature was perfect for the hot days in Greece. You can really relax at this place because there is not a lot of tourism at this area on Crete. Also the beach in front of the house is quite nice. We put our hammock under some trees and were watching the sunrise over Paleochora. I can totally recommend this apartment, especially for couples who want some relaxing time and together.

Loved our stay in this remote villa. Amazing views with sunsets from the pool. Beds were very comfortable with quality linens and towels. Nice having the pool heated! House is remote so bring all the food needed. Rather close to Elifonisi beach which was well worth the 20 minute drive. Driving is not for the faint of heart of heart. Many tavernas in the area within 15 minutes drive. Would stay again. Thank you Theoni!

Uniquely beautiful, charming tiny house, wonderfully located between carob and olive trees, beautiful terrace with plenty of shade and seating and lounging options (as described and seen in the photos). The very friendly landlords live in the immediate vicinity (see photo 3). Thanks also to the very nice service staff Vicky, who changed the laundry in between! The proximity to Loutraki Bay is fantastic, the water there is crystal clear and wonderful for swimming. Interesting for future guests: the tavern praised in other reviews is currently (June 2025) closed, very close is an air force base, so occasionally jet planes fly - even at night. Recommended overall!

Beautiful mountain retreat, quiet and peaceful. Place is a bit darker inside than photos but was comfortable and clean. Sitting by the pool in the morning was a delight - we were very at home here. Lovely to arrive to a bottle of wine in the fridge. Lots of winding roads to get here, but nice to be away from the hustle and bustle.
