Traditional Family Beach Villa for a Long Stay

YchelleRating, 5 stars1 month ago
There are some places that remind you why you love Airbnb — and Hiroki’s home in Chigasaki is one of them. A true gem: bright, beautifully designed, nestled beside a peaceful Japanese garden. Just steps away is a charming little café run by a kind and talented host, serving delicious meals. And the five bicycles provided? They allowed us to explore the town at our own pace, all the way to the nearby beach. Chigasaki is perfect for a few days of slow life, far from the hustle and bustle of Tokyo. Without a doubt, this is one of the best Airbnbs we’ve ever stayed in. A place we leave reluctantly, but that makes us want to come back.

I highly recommend this place! This place was stunning. The interior is clean and spacious. It has a very cool and sleek appearance. The amenities are great. It’s a very short walk to the beach and Enoshima island, where you can see Mt Fuji on a clear day! The bikes were AMAZING. We rode them all the way to Kamakura’s Komachi-dori. Also, the host was extremely nice and helpful!

Michael was extraordinarily helpful before our arrival, answering questions quickly, offering suggestions, making it easy for us -- it's a lovely walk up from the station, and Michael's place faces out on a rice paddy ensuring quietude while being quite convenient to the area. The neighborhood is amazing, little shops, bakeries, coffee houses, and the historic temples in the area are beautiful. (My favorite is Tokei-ji, just about ten minutes walk away.) In the other direction is fantastic hiking, and you can go all the way to the Great Buddha in Hase. But if you are looking just for a place to hang out and relax, this place is perfect. It was such a beautiful space that one day we didn't go out at all! It's definitely a place to come back to! Thank you Michael!
