Welcome to Altes Land, Germany's largest fruit growing area with its numerous orchards. Here you can relax wonderfully, especially cycling through apple orchards or to the nearby Elbe. For shopping, we recommend the Hanseatic city of Hamburg (about 45 minutes by car) or the cozy cities of Stade (20 minutes) and Buxtehude (12 minutes). We had a great JGA in Lisa and Tobi's little shepherd settlement in the forest, which was perfect for it! The wagons are equipped with very comfortable beds, and there is a small kitchen where grilled food and breakfast can be prepared. The guest room of a former restaurant, which can be used for an extra charge, completes the stay in bad weather or if it gets too cold outside at some point. Tobi and Lisa were very friendly and helpful and always available on site in the neighboring house. Overall a great place to stay for our purposes. Glad to come back!

Quaint hut on the edge of the forest. Where the fox and rabbit say good night. We had visits from rabbits, deer and views of the sheep pasture, horse paddock Exactly as we imagined it. The cabin is simple but conveniently furnished. We enjoyed it very much, the weather played along, so perfect.
