Great place to stay in Kaikoura. Neat , clean and with great views of the sea and within walking distance of the beach. Near city centre. Will recommend to friends and stay here again if an opportunity presents itself.

Of all the places I have stayed this one might be the nicest. Absolutely beautifully decorated with every amenity you could want. The beds were really comfortable with little extras like electric bed warmers and a heater in the bathroom. It was quiet with a spectacular view of the ocean. This is a special place.

I highly recommend Caitlin’s place! The house is brand new, spotless, and beautifully maintained—everything was so clean and tidy when we arrived. The bed was incredibly warm and comfortable, perfect for a restful night’s sleep. The towels were soft, fluffy, and felt like hotel quality. The home is fully equipped with everything you might need, from kitchen essentials to thoughtful touches that made our stay feel extra cozy. Caitlin was also a great host—very responsive and welcoming. Would definitely stay here again!

Absolutely spectacular in every way! By far the best place we’ve ever stayed in. We had dreadful weather during our stay which meant going out was not an option, but with a place like this it didn’t matter a bit. We were cosy and had everything we needed and watched the waves crash and the wild weather all day long from the amazing big windows. The views are incredible and that’s with limited visibility so can only imagine how stunning they are on a good day! Cannot recommend this place highly enough, we’d love to return one day. Thank you so much ☺️

This apartment opening out onto the beautiful Kaikoura Bay was fantastic. We awoke to a beautiful sunrise both mornings from our bedroom. The apartment was Immaculately presented with attention to detail in all aspects. It boasts quality fittings, towels, linen etc. Proximity to the local picture theater allowed me to nip next door to watch 'Tina' which I thoroughly loved. Walking distance to restraunts. Very, very good value for money.

Thank you Lynette, we really enjoyed our stay. It was the perfect spot to watch the sea and easy walking into town. The apartment was super clean and was well equipped for our stay over the Easter weekend. We would be more than happy to come and stay again.

Where do I start! Amazing, without a doubt the most beautiful and well presented retreat I have stayed at. Attention to detail was second to none, an unbelievable and overwhelming experience, private and peaceful yet, if requested, Sean would respond in minutes. The property boasts so many additional features over and above the building itself, outside full bar area, fire pit, full laundry, gym to name a few. We stayed for 2 days and 2 nights and didn’t want to leave (I even enquired whether the property was for sale). Don’t hesitate to book this property, it would not be possible to be disappointed. Thank you Sean and Skip for your hospitality. Truly amazing place, beautiful and we didn’t turn the tv on once, why would you when you can relax in such stunning surroundings and in front of a roaring log burner. Totally amazing experience, do not miss out on this one! It’s better than all the rest.

Nice enough and plenty of space - but considerably more expensive than other airbnbs on our South Island trip.

I have been using Airbnb for 8 years, and Peter and Tuti’s home is the best experience I have ever had—one I will probably remember forever. There are so many highlights about the place: the rooms are super clean, tidy, comfortable, tastefully decorated, and carefully maintained. Tuti is a chef herself, so you will enjoy top-class kitchenware along with fresh eggs and milk from their farm. The wooden furniture adds a lovely touch, and the mattress is very comfortable. Peter is very responsive and always replies to messages within seconds in a helpful way. In a nutshell, Peter and Tuti love their home, and they prepare it for guests with so much heart—you can truly feel it in every detail. We had a lovely chat with Peter and Tuti on the day of our departure, they are such warm and amiable people. I genuinely believe everyone will enjoy and love this place as much as we did!

Charming rustic kiwiana bach with a unique character. Perfect for those looking to unplug and simply relax. Don’t expect a lot of activities nearby—it’s all about unwinding and enjoying the peaceful surroundings. Paul, the host, was brilliant—easygoing and always close by if needed. A cozy spot to recharge.

Jialin has provided a lot of care and online support prior to our arrival. She switched on the light outside home, a little gesture to ensure our safety. And of course what impressed me was an extra mile of service to switch on the heater for the house to ensure home is well heated for 3 more travelers who are elderly. My aunt was very impressed with the kitchen, you can cook both western and eastern cuisines. We parked our campervan overnight and Jialin is very nice to park the campervan inward. The charges for additional charging was $20, which is reasonable. The previous night our campervan had a power trip and we suffered in the cold. We were advised to charged the campervan overnight.
