Hotel vacation rentals in Kagoshima

I was a solo traveller and I stayed on a room in the second floor. The apartment felt spacious and I could see that it was meant for 7 people. Still, I felt at home. I love the interior design of the room, bits of bare concrete on the ceiling, minimalism and industrial design. The amenities were good. I spent a lot of time on the dining table lit up by the ambient lighting. My only issue was that the room was close to a railroad crossing junction. Every now and then there would be a sound of bells to signal an approaching train. It did not bother me as I love Japanese trains. I was able to sleep and rest well.

I had a wonderful stay at Ananda Chillage. The location is peaceful and the room and living space are beautifully curated. Miki and Shinji were extremely helpful even before we arrived. They warned us about Golden Week and helped us make reservations at restaurants that could accommodate a vegan. All of their recommendations were excellent!Additionally Miki’s breakfast and hospitality each morning was a highlight of our stay. I hope to return to Yakushima and would not hesitate to stay here again.

We stayed at this beautiful apartment for six weeks. It is spacious and very stylishly furnished. We loved the modern bathroom and fully equipped kitchen. We brought two mountain bikes. The host has provided an optimal space for the bags and the bikes. Thank you very much for that. The host is very personable, straightforward and helpful. Thanks to modern apps, the language barrier was no problem.

This place is like a small hotel. The checking in and checking out process is all done on a touch screen without human interaction. We were able to locate it easily and it is a short walk from the train station. We did not have any needs or concerns for our one night stay.

Nakazano san was such a wonderful host. He's an old hand at explaining where things are ie. he's writing upside down for me in English while he's showing me on the map. It's a classic old Japanese ryokan, so if you understand about staying in them, then this place will be comfortable. And also comfortable in the sense that your bedding is even on top of a thick mattress, so don't be concerned about sleeping on a hard floor here. It's in a back lane not far from the city hall, so once you get your bearings, then it's easy to find. Easy to go the port ferries and also the CBD shopping. Definitely recommended.
