The gateway to the wilderness

Welcome to our dream home! We bought the house in 2019 and have since tried to create our own home, inspired by nature and our passion for hunting, fishing and outdoor life. We are especially proud of the kitchen which is the heart of the home. Here we spend a lot of time and we love to cook good food. The kitchen is built of recycled materials and we have included details from our grandparents, which means a lot to us. The project is not fully completed and the bedrooms remain until the entire main floor is completed.

The cabin is located 120 km from Tromsø (1 h, 45 min. by car), and 6 km from Skibotn center. It’s the perfect place for mindfulness, hiking, northern lights watching and fishing. There’s also possibilities for off-road cycling, dogsledding and skiing. The panoramic view over the Alps of Lyngen, the fireplace, the sauna and the traditional outdoor compost toilet, make the place exotic. During winter you must be prepared to walk up a snowy/icy hill to the cabin and fetch water from the well.

The place has an amazing view!
