What a treat it was to stay in the “honeymoon suite” rondawel! Lynette does a fantastic job running the place and took time for a good chat on our arrival, which was great. We had requested dinner and breakfast and enjoyed the most delicious lamb curry! The breakfast was wonderful too! Thanks so much for a 5-star stay, Lynette! 🥰

We stayed two nights at Reedsdell Country Guest Farm, but we could have stayed longer. Katherine's cottage on the working farm is comfortable for a peaceful stay. There were nice details such as a couple of delicious slices of cake in the fridge, as well as a prepared braai pit. The cottage is completely equipped for making yourself at home. The surroundings are beautiful, and we enjoyed our evening walks in the countryside. Katherine and Chris are gracious hosts, and it was nice to get to know them a little bit. This is a perfect getaway for rest and relaxation. Highly recommended!

If you are looking to disconnect with real life and connect with nature then this is the place to go! We had a lovely stay at River Lodge at Karoo Ridge Conservancy. The hosts were very friendly and helpful and considerate with providing a camping cot and feeding chair for our baby and a net over the pool. Everything you need is there. We also did some of the hikes from the River Lodge and went for a great game drive with sundowners. Our dogs enjoyed the space as well. With no cell reception and WIFI at the lodge (only available at the reception shop), this is exactly what we need d for our breakaway. We will definitely visit again.

A wonderful, restful overnight stay! Totally worth breaking up our journey to the coast to experience the open vistas and peace and quiet of the farm. The beautifully restored house is spacious and comfortable with attention to quality and little extras to make you feel right at home.

A true oasis in the middle of nowhere, this is a proper piece of paradise. The cottage is absolutely gorgeous, sparkling clean and contains EVERYTHING one could need from Panado to homemade vetkoek (as well as the grated cheese to go with it). Lynette is a fantastic hostess. She was extremely proactive and quick to respond in all communication and made us feel very welcome. We ordered breakfast from her as well which was beyond delicious. We stayed at this cottage for a weekend and it was peaceful, restful and serene. We will definitely be back.

What a beautiful gem we found. We should have stayed for a week. So much to do. Who had a mountainbike ride deep into the mountains, swam in the icy stream, and explored the cave at about 5km in. Th surroundings are spectacular. Phyll's knowledge about the archeology is astonishing and her passion for the history of the area is worth listening to. The loft was so much more than we expected and we had a wonderful rest in between the cycling and walking. Thanx Phyll for letting us share in a little of your heaven

This was an unforgettable stay. Not only is the house amazingly furnished and well-kept, the surroundings will give rest to any soul. We especially loved the little pool in front and the open plan living area. Helen was also an amazing host and made sure all our needs were met. Will definitely go back!

Wow.. what amazing ppl..Judyand Roger where so kind . the road toothedcottage was washed away...but they immediately offered me a room in their home....with separate entrance and all the other things you'd expect. even offered me dinner and breakfast. thank you Judy and Roger..I will be back.

What a gem in the Eastern Free State. After a long drive from Potchestroom we were welcomed by our friendly hosts. We stayed in a charming, beautifully restored farmhouse dating back to 1880. The views from the house were incredible with the sun setting over the mountains. What a privilege to light a fire and enjoy a glass of wine in such a serene setting. We will certainly be back.
