Cozy Lakeview/AC Home Stays, Next to Fishing Site

RosellenRating, 5 stars4 months ago
Our family gathered in Watertown to have Thanksgiving with our son who lives there and is stationed at Ft. Drum. We wanted a nice place on the water where the adults could stay and the family could gather for Thanksgiving dinner. Jane's place was nice and cozy for the adults who stayed and enjoyed by all who came for dinner. Jane was responsive to any communications and helpful when we thought our stay may have to be extended due to the threat of 60+ inches of lake effect snow. We were able to check out on time and would love to return when we could truly enjoy the yard, water access, kayaks etc.

Cape Vincent 1000 Islands Retreat- St Lawrence Rvr

JustinRating, 5 stars8 months ago
We had a great stay. Host met us at the door and showed us around. We two adults, two kids, and a dog and we had room to spare. Kitchen was very well equipped, easy street parking right in front, and though no washer the laundromat was right across the street. Easy walk to cute downtown and the river too. Michael was very communicative and made sure we had a great time. For sure would stay again.

Welcome to our River House - 3Br

JanelleRating, 5 stars7 months ago
From the very beginning, Tim was extremely attentive and answered all of my questions immediately. I knew what to expect as soon as I walked in. The house fit 2 families and 2 large lazy dogs without feeling cramped. Having water access was amazing, the kids fished all day while the parents enjoyed time on the patio. The kids were able to take kayaks out to fish as well. The water grass made it a little difficult to keep an eye on the kids from the patio area, but not enough to be a problem. The water is very shallow but we were able to park our rented boat (Mac's Boat Rental-super awesome to the kids) without a problem. This house is exactly what we were looking for; private, waterfront and allowed dogs heavier that 20lbs-which is difficult to find. This house was a gem and we will gladly rent again! Thanks Tim!

Updated townhouse steps from DT

SusieRating, 5 stars5 months ago
Such a great find! We were costing our dd and sil right before they deployed to Syria. Perfect location to enjoy time with them. Was here in February and this was a much better place than the abnb above goodfellows. She does have coffee for her Keurig or for a pot of coffee including filters but stop on the way in for cream.

Mama's Lake Shack

KathyRating, 5 stars7 months ago
Had an absolutely wonderful stay at Mama's Love Shack. It's hardly a shack. Such a lovely cottage right on the water. I watched spectacular sunsets while sitting by a fire enjoying peace and nature's beauty. Christine and Wes were perfect hosts who really showed they cared for their guests. The cottage was spotless and I've never seen so many amenities. I enjoyed my stay immensely and hope to return again. Thank you for sharing your lovely cottage!

Captain's Perch-Newly Listed

BarbaraRating, 5 stars7 months ago
Such a lovely location and beautifully decorated apartment. Enjoyed everything about it from sitting out on the deck watching birds, boats etc to firepits in the evening and walking to the local Tikki Bar for food, beverage and socializing. We found the people in this area to be the friendliest we've come across in our travels. Oh yes and the bed is heaven.

Waterfront motel suite (#1) with one bedroom

SamanthaRating, 5 stars7 months ago
This place was so serene and quiet, we hadn’t realized it was the campground but honestly we couldn’t even tell. Everyone was quiet, we spent a bunch of time at the water across the little road. If you are someone like us - that likes a clean uncomplicated place to relax and be able to come and go at your leisure to explore the surrounding area - this is great! Loved being able to lay in the bed and look at the water or sit on the couch and do the same. Any questions I had were answered quickly. The entire thing from booking to leaving was effortless and stress free. We could drive from there basically anywhere we wanted to see pretty easily. We will definitely go back there!

Spectacular Riverfront Apartment

MichaelRating, 5 stars6 months ago
This place is great. We plan to come back next year for a longer stay. Mark and Robin are perfect hosts. They have built brand-new apartment over a boathouse in the 1000 Islands. The place has virtually everything you could need right down to the corkscrew.. Parking reserved for us was under the unit so the walk up the stairs is short. the view from the deck is fabulous. The boaters are friendly and welcoming. (If you make friends with the guy with the big boat “The Walrus” you might get a private tour of the islands.) The natural beauty of the area is accessible from many parks nearby. Clayton has many shops, restaurants, music venues and museums within walking distance of the apartment and is located near the Canadian border, so bring your passport as there is a delightful day trip you can take to Kingston, Ontario via ferry or bridge. This place is a complete apartment for the price of a hotel room. We will be back. (P.S Don't miss the antique boat museum.)

Sunset Cottage on Lake Ontario at Pillar Point

DustinRating, 5 stars6 months ago
The “Sunset Cottage” felt like a cozy home away from home. An extraordinary lake view from the bay window was the perfect center piece for this modest, quaint escape. Carol and Pete are extremely personable and caring. Their hospitality made this trip a breeze. I highly recommend them and this AirBnB.

Bay Breeze

SylviaRating, 5 stars7 months ago
The property is beautiful. Luckily we were the only ones there, so had the land to ourselves. felt private and serene. I would not have enjoyed it as much if the other cabin had occupants as everything is close together. The cabin is cozy, furniture/appliances are a little wobbly but it adds to the charm and quiky of the place. it was bright and clean. the water is super murky right by the boathouse and launch, but clears as you head out. The stone "step" onto the porch of the cabin can be tricky with anyone with mobility limitations, so take it slow. There is an antique store maybe a 5 min walk that is a great little treasure trove. I found the cutest wind chimes. And loved chatting with the lady working. Most people we encountered were very friendly and welcoming. Quick drive to Clayton and Watertown. There is a country store and a dollar general not very far from the cabin if you need supplies and firewood for sale galore. Wendy was a gracious host. Will be back!
