Cabin vacation rentals in Jamaica

Overall, I was very happy with my stay. Elvis is a great host and did so much for us while we were there. It felt like having our own personal guide & cook the whole time we were there. Elvis gave us recommendations of places to go, cooked authentic food for our whole group twice a day (7 people), and took us around Negril to the beach & supermarket when we needed. Seriously, he's really great and elevated this AirBnb from mediocre to amazing. The accommodations themselves are pretty basic (no hot water, no AC, yes fridge, yes fan), but they're roomy and don't have any glaring problems. The only thing I disliked was the loud bar across the street, but even they were willing to turn off the music at a reasonable hour most nights. Also there are some annoying roosters in the neighborhood that make noise early in the morning, but what can you do. It's still Jamaica haha. You can walk 5 minutes to catch a taxi or have Elvis take you places in Negril.

This place is literally a huge slice of heaven nestled here! We were mesmerized from the moment we came through the gates. First of all…the hosts were so amazing! They were very warm and welcoming. We immediately felt like family as soon as we came there. The cottage was well appointed. We kept seeing a different special touch over and over again. I absolutely loved the decor! The artwork and the details that went into everything was impeccable. Even the shower curtain was unique. We were outside at night with a drink and listened to the birds chirping and the nice fresh breeze drifting by us in our cozy chairs and snuggly blankets. The food! Heavenly! Everything they prepared was home grown on the farm there. We had 2 dinners. The first night we had the most amazing fish with rice, veggies and some lemongrass tea. The second night we had some calaloo, okra, salt fish and sorrel. When dessert came we wanted to move in! I extended my stay! Definitely family atmosphere! We’ll be back!

Cottage Blu is a quaint cabin set in the peaceful valley of the Blue Mountains. The surrounding nature is breathtaking with morning glimpses of the Blue Mountain and the river providing a calming background hum. ⛰️ The space was great for my parents and myself, especially with the hammock and tables outside so we could each have our own space. The kitchen has all the basic utensils, plates, and pots and pans. I was glad that I brought some specific kitchen items with me to bake a cake. Jahope, Dale’s brother, was a wonderful guide and naturalist, he showed us all of the plants in the area! 🌿 If you travel here, I recommend using Apple Maps, NOT Google maps as it does not have all the roads. As we got closer to the cabin, we looked across the ravine to see our cabin and asked a very friendly local for more directions. Keep going and there will be more signs along the way! We would recommend having an 4wd vehicle for the trek 🚘 10/10 we would recommend this place and would return!

Everything was amazing! Cleveland and Janet are outstanding hosts, both very friendly and genuine people. Cleveland offers rides for a very reasonable fees and had great suggestions for things to do in the area. The area is gorgeous and as a solo female traveller I can’t recommend this area enough in terms of safety. The locals are chatty but always kind. This is totally beyond the hosts control but the area isn’t super quiet at night with bars playing music until around 11 to midnight and animals in the area, so if you’re a light sleeper I’d suggest earplugs :) overall it didn’t have a negative impact on my stay because it just felt like part of the flavour of the area. The value was amazing, the cabin is simple, clean, and beautiful, it’s a perfect spot for those looking to slow down and to get to know a beautiful part of Jamaica with a vibrant culture.

We travelled for our anniversary and safe to say that we were truly spoilt! The accommodation and hospitality was above and beyond. They were very helpful with recommendations of activities to do as well as booking them including a taxi service. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will definitely be returning!

We’re return guests at Oneil’s and recommend this spot for anyone who enjoys a natural rustic setting that is still close to everything in Port Antonio!

The house was amazing — we felt very safe and comfortable throughout our stay. The neighbors were lovely and very welcoming. It’s important to note that the road leading to the house is not easy at first, but after doing it once, it feels much easier. The first time can seem overwhelming, but it's definitely manageable! We really enjoyed our stay here. It was perfect for our first days: very calm, with a beautiful view, and not too far from the center — but you definitely need a car. We also had the chance to meet Dallas, who was incredibly kind and shared with us the touching story behind this house. Thank you again for everything!

Highly recommended! The cabin is exactly as described and I like that it’s gated/private, perfect for privacy. Kevin was very responsive and helpful. We definitely would stay here again.

Dexton, the on site host, was super helpful, friendly, and always available. He arranged an airport pickup, cooked amazing traditional Jamaican meals, and was a source of local knowledge. The room was clean and comfortable. The high point for me was the elevated terrace. It was like living in a jungle tree house. The location is in a residential neighborhood, away from the hustle of downtown Negril. However transportation is required to get back and forth to town. It was a wonderful experience, and a good value. Highly recommended! Thanks Dexton!

Lenin and family were amazing hosts. Due to our flight getting cancelled we had to change accommodation dates and he was very kind and helpful to us. We needed a last minute pick up at the airport on New Year eve and the family accommodated this. The house we stayed in was wonderful and worked so well for our family. Loved our stay and they go above an beyond to make sure everything is wonderful!

The accommodation is incredible, place, everything very prepared to receive a family of 3 a fully equipped kitchen really nothing to say I would definitely go back to Jamaica 🇯🇲 and stay here the reception girl is very kind and strives to explain to us in English is really everything we need here

We stayed 8 days in this cabon and had sooooo re best time! France was our host....always willing to do anything and always willing to go above and beyond! Ideal for those who don't like 'the resort places'.....who have everything and are willing to go back to almost nothing.......Ocean in front of the cabin with such a nice beach..... Not suitable for the traveller on a budget since everything is so expensive..... Will start saving money now so that soon we can return!

Absolutely loved staying at this house! Denise was super responsive and Craig was awesome brining us coconuts, helping cook breakfast and dinner, and showing us around the area. He was great company as well!

Kiara was represented by Radicia and Renaldo. We were picked up privately and driven to our excursion destinations. Punctual and incredibly friendly. We were cooked for superbly and with variety and learned a lot about the country and people. Fantastic stay.

It was an amazing place to stay. The pictures don’t do it justice, it was even better in person… a cabin in the mountains, with two balconies and panoramic views of the jungle and ocean. The location is a 15 minute drive into downtown Port Antonio, and literally less than a 5 minute drive to the Blue Lagoon, Frenchman’s Cove, and Boston Beach. I’d recommend renting a car or hiring a driver, as the cabin is very high in the hills and not walkable. But it’s only about a 5 minute drive to the main road; some of the roads are gravel, but we were fine in a 2-way drive vehicle. Added bonus: friendly dogs and cats on the property to keep you company.

Wonderfully simple! Hosts were very responsive, location was superb, and a fan was more than adequate to sleep comfortably. If you want to feel off the grid but still be able to charge your phone, this is your spot.

I don’t even know where to start. Joan and Papa Curvin were so welcoming. The breakfast was DELICIOUS! The view was BEAUTIFUL! They are so helpful with recommendations and accommodations for you to get there. We will definitely be back.
