Go to the mountains and highlands during the day, and enjoy the tranquility of the countryside at night. This is a rental cottage where you can enjoy a sauna, BBQ, and the starry sky. It is recommended not only for those who want to relax in Azumino and Ikeda-cho, but also as a base for sightseeing in Kamikochi and Hakuba, for stays of one night or more. Currently, accommodation is available from June 29th to July 3rd, and this is the time when you can see many fireflies nearby. Would you like to enjoy the new greenery, BBQ, and sauna in quiet Shinshu before the summer vacation? Convenient location as a base for sightseeing in Hakuba, Kamikochi, and Tateyama-Kurobe. It can accommodate group trips, family trips, and stays of several nights to long-term stays. There is a laundry machine and a bathroom with a dryer for a comfortable extended stay. You can get here by public transportation, but having a car is more convenient in this area. If you come by train, there may not be a taxi, so we recommend planning your transportation in advance. Free pick up and drop off is available from Akeshi Station and Shinano-Matsukawa Station. Paid transfers to and from Matsumoto Station, Nagano Station, and Sawando Bus Terminal are available upon consultation.

Location Opened in May 2024. Located in the heart of Takayama's historic district, Makoto-ya Ojin is a stylish inn in 1-chome, Ojin-cho, Takayama City, where the good old Japanese landscape remains. In front of our house, which is sandwiched between the Hida-Buri Highway that connects the former Toyama and Takayama, there are the Nissho-bu Mingei Kan and the Yoshima residence, which are important cultural properties that show the rich cultural assets of Japan, and this area is designated as a preservation district for traditional buildings. You can enjoy the old town and beautiful scenery while experiencing historic buildings. It is a 2-minute walk to Miyagawa Morning Market and a 5-minute walk to Sakurayama Hachimangu Shrine, the site of the autumn Takayama Festival. The festival stall in this area is called Hōmeita, and it has a variety of decorations such as a palanquin and sculptures (1-minute walk to the stall). Enjoy Takayama's history to the fullest in an excellent location. <Building and Hida master carpenters> Built 145 years ago by a master craftsman from Hida, this building has been revived here by modern craftsmen. Mökki means "cottage" in Finnish. Enjoy your time in a special place surrounded by nature. Guest house Mökki is located in Shinano-cho, which is blessed with forests, lakes, and snow in the northern part of Nagano Prefecture, and there are many natural places nearby such as Kurohime Kogen, Lake Nojiri, and Togakushi. Feel free to use the entire building, which has been renovated with natural materials such as cedar, cypress, and plaster, as well as the natural garden that creates seasonal scenery and the forest where the stream flows.You can see birds, squirrels, and martens in the forest, and you can enjoy walking around looking for wild vegetables and mushrooms, as well as swings and hammocks. We also paid attention to the interior of the room and kitchen utensils so that you can enjoy "living". At the pavilion by the stream, you can enjoy BBQs and campfires without worrying about the weather. In the green season, it is the perfect base for hiking, fishing, paddle boarding, and golf, and in the snow season, it is also the perfect base for winter sports. Our accommodation is located near the old town of Hida Takayama. This is a private rental accommodation in a renovated traditional house. This is a private rental inn that blends the comfort of an old house with modern comfort, where you can relax to your heart's content. The inn has an open-air cypress bath. You can enjoy a relaxing bath while watching the garden from the open-air bath. The inn is located in Sanmachi, where there is an old town, and Kamisannomachi is just a short walk away. You can also walk to the Yatai Kaikan of Sakurayama Hachimangu Shrine, Hiei Shrine, and Takayama Jinya. Hida has many tourist attractions such as Shirakawago, Okuhida Onsen Village, and Shinhotaka Ropeway. There is a bus from Takayama City, making it easy to visit. You can enjoy Hida while staying at our inn.

This house overlooks Lake Nojiri and has a superb view. There are several ski resorts (Myoko, Kurohime, Madarao) about 15-20 minutes away by car, making it a perfect base for winter sports. Enjoy the wood stove sauna and the water bath with a view. There are no private houses around, so you can listen to music and watch movies loudly. Because it is a house located deep in the mountains, we take the best measures, but in the warm season, insects come out. It snows a lot in winter. In autumn, fallen leaves dance. You will also need to adjust the wood stove fire yourself. It's not an easy house to live in, but we promise you a great view and experience. Enjoy cooking with a counter kitchen with a view, condiments and cooking utensils. (There is no equipment for BBQ)

Renovated to be open, modern and spacious our chalet is only 20 minutes drive from Nagano City, Togakushi and Iizuna ski resorts. It is less than 5 minutes walk (or 1 min drive) to some cafes and restaurants and the new Nagano Forest Village. There, you can buy local produce, craft beers & wine, and walk around the beautiful area. We recommend driving to explore more around the highlands and snow tires (or chains) are a must have during winter. We are 1080m above sea level, its cool in summer!
