Vacation rentals in Isla Magdalena

If what you are seeking is solitude and peace, this is the place for you. There are no other houses or people as far as the eye can see. You will watch the sun set over the cacti of the desert - it is breathtaking. The house is clean and Daniel took care to make it welcoming for me with some snacks and various toiletries. The caretaker Federico was kind and helpful. Daniel was quick to communicate when I asked. The wifi is actually very good - strong enough for a zoom call or streaming a movie. In the yard you can pick your own limes and wander among the flowers and plants. It is only about a 7 minute drive to town if you need a small grocery store. I was there in summer, the off season, so just a few restaurants were open and there were no whale watching tours but my dog and I went down to the whale aquarium every day and simply walked on the dock and on the shore near the mangroves. The people in town were very friendly and we enjoyed getting elotes and fresh fish. And though it's the desert, the temperatures were very hospitable, low 80s. No AC and we didn't need it. (I didn't even turn on the fan). This is not a tourist hub (at least not in the summer!) This is where you come for solitude and to connect with the open sky.

Stayed for 6 days. Simple casa in a perfect location for anyone looking to fish or whale watch.

We had a fantastic stay at Whales Tale Inn. We are inshore fishermen and Bob, Diane and staff hooked us up with a local knowlegable panga guide who took us in close to fish the Mangroves. We used live shrimp for bait and caught many species new to us. Strikes were vicious! Halibut, triggerfish, grouper, red snapper, corvina and more. Also, the gray whales were just starting to arrive in Magdalena Bay and we were fortunate to go on a separate whale watch trip. The rooms were comfortable and the meals delicious.

A great place, very secure. Osprey nest next door. Very comfortable. Nice kitchen. It was great to get away from the touristy town of Loreto. The town shuts down pretty early. Nice outdoor cafes at the docks where you can watch the sunset. We found a good grocery store. There's a gas station on the way into town. Cheri introduced us to a wonderful boat driver, Ernesto and we went out with him twice - he's really nice. Thanks so much.

Las estancia fue limitada pero SÚPER AGRADABLE , La casa muy grande para 2 personas, Impecable y super amplia ! Ricardo siempre estuvo muy pendiente y resolvió problemas por la noche . El lugar súper limpio . con lavadora y secadora , y un patio gigante. . la estancia y el paseo fueron estupendos! Sin duda lo recomiendo y volvería .
