I wish I could have stayed longer to fully enjoy it but the apartment is in a great location and has all the comforts you could wish for, with a very appreciable historic character. Total calm, in the heart of Caen. Thierry is attentive and friendly! Totally recommend!

A very smart beautifully furnished centrally located apartment. We thoroughly enjoyed the diverse neighborhood with great restaurants and galleries within a short walking distance. Everything in the apartment has been well thought out and artfully curated. We appreciated the secure adjacent car park. The pre-arrival instructions were excellent. We look forward to staying again. Ideal town center location near shops, restaurants and bars. Very large unit with room to spread out. One very large bath with shower on main floor. Another large bath with tub only on upper floor. Two bedrooms each floor. Upper floor only accessible by spiral staircase. Hosts were very helpful. Met us at arrival. Great visitor sheet including local recommendations. We tried two of those restaurants and both were excellent.

Vincent is a great host. He was very accommodating with our check-in time. He greeted us at the apartment and showed us how everything works. Very responsive to our inquiries. The apartment is less than a 2-minute walk from downtown Bayeux, spacious, and well appointed. I highly recommend this place.

As others have mentioned this is an excellent holiday flat and superb base from which to explore Normandy and the beautiful city of Caen. The flat is clean, comfortable and is very well equipped for self-catering though the nearby town center bars and restaurants may tempt you out at little more that you planned. Highlights include secure and convenient parking, excellent bathroom and shower, comfortable bed and the bonus of a lovely private garden to kick back while sampling the local calvados in the evening. As mentioned the flat is very central with a five minute walk into the center for fresh bread and croissants in the morning. Caen itself is full of surprises with beautiful churches and abbeys combined with a very laid back atmosphere. Though we did not meet Christine her ongoing communication was both discrete and charming. Book you wont regret it. 5 stars all round

Very nice place in the center of Caen. Everything within walking distance easy to do, for further destinations within Caen there is a tram station right in front of the door. All in all a very nice beautiful place to be if you want to visit the city of Caen.

Absolutely the best place to stay. Everything was high end and she had everything there you would want for a stay. Highly recommend.

Super accommodation ... beautiful house ... great layout ... with the kitchen/diner and sitting room in one big room on the middle floor the Estuary views whilst eating or relaxing are quite wonderful !

A hidden gem on the Normandy coast. Close to the museums and D-day beaches. A number of free places to visit near the property in walkable distances. Port-en-Bessin a 5 min drive away with lots of lovely shops - the bolangerie was awesome! The house itself is extremely well done. The photographs do not do it justice. It was the loveliest holiday home we have stayed in. Will visit again!

We cannot say enough good things about Christian’s Chateau! The scenery was breathtakingly beautiful and made for a very peaceful start to our month long Europe trip. We loved greeting their horse and chickens each day and waking up in the bucolic countryside. It was the perfect gateway to Normandy and had everything you could possibly need for a memorable stay. The bedrooms were huge and beyond comfortable and you literally have an entire castle to yourself which makes you feel like royalty! The decor is whimsical and Victorian and adds to the charm and homeyness Christian certainly treated us like royalty too; he answered all of our questions in a timely manner, gave great area recommendations, and even left us a basket of delicious croissants for lunch! We relished the peace and quiet of this Airbnb and feeling like we could truly rest and escape the hustle and bustle. Thanks for being an amazing host and making our time in France so wonderful, Christian! :)

I've stayed in this house a number of times and it is a wonderful place to stay. Very close to the beautiful harbour of Port en Bessin, which is right in the middle of the D-Day beaches areas in Normandy, the house is spacious, comfortable, modern, well equipped and extremely clean. It has very nice outside space front and back, free parking right outside, a nice view. Highly recommended.

Our family thoroughly enjoyed our stay here! Plenty of space for everyone, with comfortable beds and a fully stocked kitchen. We all felt very much at home and were sad to leave! This house is a 10/10 and we highly recommend staying here if in the area to see Omaha Beach, the American cemetery, and the beautiful French countryside. We hope to return!

Particularly well-equipped house (kitchen, garden), the children had fun with the swing and the arcade machine. It is also in a very good location, quiet and close to Omaha Beach. The convenience store is a few minutes' walk away for extra shopping. Thank you Beatrice for the tips and responsiveness in our exchanges!

We loved Chantal’s place. We were warmly welcomed by Chantal, who provided us with a tour of her place and helped us get settled. The place felt brand new, everything was pristinely clean. Interior is beautifully decorated and everything was perfect. Chantal went above and beyond to make us feel welcomed - with a yummy cider waiting chilled for us, and plenty of tea and coffee. There was also all the amenities available (toilet paper; towels; dishwashing detergent etc). Chantal has very cute puppies and she allowed my son to play with them. We would love to stay again and will - but next time we will stay longer. Highly recommend Chantal’s place.

Loved my stay at Martine’s house. This was my first Airbnb and what a pleasure it was stay here. The communication from Fred was fantastic so thank you for being so attentive! Self check in made things super easy and allowed me to visit numerous sites and museums on my way down the coast from Calais. The estate is very quiet, peaceful and beautiful - the house backs onto fields. All amenities were great, loved the kitchen and all furnishings! Many thanks

We had a great time in a spotless apartment, recently renovated, with sea views. No car needed, everything is within walking distance, we enjoyed the dike and the sandy beach. Thanks to Christelle for her welcome, guidelines and advice.

Great waterfront with kids, beach in front of the bay of the loggia, sublime view, easy parking, secure residence with gate remote. Functional apartment, very well arranged, space, big plus the closed loggia that opens fully. Yasmina was very flexible and gave good advice on arrival and departure. Friendly and very available hosts. 5 minutes from Cabourg and 15 minutes from Houlgate, easy access to visit the flowery coast as well as the landing sites. We would recommend it in a second. We spent one perfect week at Mathieu’s place and had an absolutely terrific experience! If you’re looking for an apartment in Bayeux, this is where you want to stay, hands down. The location is perfectly situated for walking to shops, markets, and cafes in the old town center and is also centrally-located for exploring the Normandy area. The apartment is inviting, peaceful, and clean with a comfortable bed. We especially enjoy livable locations where we can hear the church bells ring, and this was no exception at Mathieu’s place since the cathedral is just down the street (with a stunning view from the family room window). The bells add to the ambiance and experience, and fear not for they don’t ring through the night so your sleep isn’t interrupted. Only good things to say about this place!

We were very well hosted by Arnaud who we met in his garden. The environment is extremely quiet and relaxing. The very bright apartment, for 2 people, is very well appointed and insulated (sound and thermal). The bed is a sofa bed. The equipment is very complete including dryer and washing machine available. As a bonus, you're also dropping off Netflix. It's easy to park a vehicle. Sideville is located in the countryside and does not have a restaurant or bakery. You have to get around a short drive away. i highly recommend this host and listing. I will be back!! 😎

We are two Quebec couples who wanted to visit the landing beaches and its museums. The apartment met our expectations very well: it is very well located (25 minutes' walk from the Juno Beach Museum, in particular), in a quiet area. The apartment as such is really comfortable, very clean, with a well-equipped kitchen. The bed and sofa bed are perfect, we all slept very well! Thanks Valerie and Manuel for this exceptional stay!

The accommodation was clean and new. Close to the Marcel Proust promenade and the port of Dives sur Mer. The terrace is well exposed and allows for lunch. I recommend it.
