We loved our stay! Best stay in Takayama. Incredibly beautiful and unique. The location was perfect and the host was very kind and helpful. One of our best stay in all of Japan. I hope to stay again when I am back in Takayama.

Charming little authentic Japanese house. The futon-style beds on tatami matting were very comfortable. It has a side-view of the river (with a bonus tree in blossom for us). The towels were the softest ever, and yes, decent toilet paper too! :-)

Miwa is an executional host and my family of three thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Kanazawa. Miwa was very communicative and offered us recommendations and even reached out to us when the temperature got cold with instructions for heating! The house itself is very spacious and you can walk to most attractions in Kanazawa.

We had a great stay for 2 nights. We could access the room 3 hours before and received a wonderful apple tart as welcoming present. The host were very nice and pleasant and did their best to make our stay as great as possible. We even received help to rent a car and received great visiting tips. We highly recommend this place. We had 2 nights, dining in the place, feeling entirely at home in this wooden and warm environment. Surely our best place during our vacation in Japan.

All we can say is WOW!! This place is beautiful. My kids loved it, they begged to stay another night, and we totally would if we didn’t have such a tight Japan schedule. Thank you for such a beautiful place. We are already looking to come back and THIS is the SPOT we must return to. Our host Sho was absolutely amazing.

This place is a hidden gem. The house is beautifully appointed and very well equipped. We stayed for a week in the middle of Winter and were always very comfortable. It was lovely and peaceful by the windswept sea. Takuo san and Emiko san are fantastic hosts. They were always unfailingly friendly and helpful and gave us great recommendations, including about local lacquer ware and places to eat. This included Somamichi which is a gorgeous costal restaurant with truly amazing food. No doubt much less is open at the moment compared to before the earthquake but we were not at a loss of things to do and had a wonderful time.

Hiko gave very clear instructions which was most helpful. The apartment is in a very quiet street, but close to the train station and many interesting shops and restaurants. The building was easy to find and very clean.

Location: The location is very good, 3 minutes walk to near Emachi and within 10 minutes walk to Kanazawa station.It is very convenient to go sightseeing spots. Host Interaction: The host is very timely in communicating, quick to respond to information, and very attentive with questions. Facilities: The room is fully furnished and clean.There are a lot of in-projected movies and TV series and it was very pleasant to watch. I accidentally forgot the necklace when I left, and the host contacted me immediately, and it was really appreciated to retrieve the necklace in a timely manner. Overall: This stay was perfect and I'll choose this store next time I get the chance.

Our family of four were very comfortable in Hiko's apartment even though it is quite small. It is very well laid out and Hiko has provided everything you could need - even welcome snacks. The laudry was fantastic to catch up on our washing and we got everything dry with just having the clothes hung up and tge window open. The location was so convenient to everywhere and very quiet. Loved it, thank you Hiko!

It was a very clean and clean spacious room. It was also well equipped, especially the combination of a large 65-inch TV and sound bar, and I was able to enjoy movies and online videos. The bed was also very clean and comfortable to sleep in. Each sightseeing spot is within walking distance, especially close to Omicho Market. I'd love to stay again when I visit Kanazawa.

Used to teach in the Hakui area and was coming back to visit some friends - this place was great! You'll definitely need to drive or take a taxi, but the surroundings and peacefulness is very worth it. Everything was clean and the host was very nice! A small note that it's possible he might stay on the first floor (he only did so for our first night) - not an issue for us at all but we hadn't realized until we arrived! overall would recommend this beautiful space.
