Beautiful house, very clean, very good location

I used it for a concert viewing in Kanazawa. It was close to the station, a supermarket, and a large walk to major tourist destinations. It was very helpful that they were flexible with the change in the number of people and the number of futons. We had a comfortable time.Thank you very much.

My partner and I stayed at the Art Directors home for two nights. This stay was so luxurious and relaxing. The bath was nice and large, the beds were comfortable and the living room was cozy. We didn't realize until the tail end of our stay that some of the photos of this listing are from the adjacent building. Although we did not use this space, it would be such an inspiration room to work and study in. Other than the incredible architecture of the buildings, the furniture was well made and beautiful. The house is furnished perfectly with our stylistic tastes and we felt very privileged to stay here. Instructions to the bath were not available and the microwave was not working, but we were able to figure out the bath and avoided food requiring a microwave. The style of the home has low beams and entryways which can be difficult to navigate as someone who is 198cm tall; however, apart from some bumps 🤦‍♂️ it was ok. I would recommend this stay to anyone who plans to visit Toyama.

We had a wonderful 2-night stay here! The place is beautiful, spacious, and very clean — perfect for our family. The tatami room was a lovely touch, not only adding to the authentic Japanese experience but also making it safe and comfortable for us travelling with a baby. Having two rooms on the ground floor was ideal for our senior family members. The parking space was very convenient, and the thoughtful amenities provided made our stay even more comfortable. We especially loved the kitchen, fully equipped with complete cooking utensils, which made meal preparation easy and hassle-free. We loved the coffee maker too! The host was very responsive and even warmly welcomed us despite our late arrival. Highly recommended for families looking for a comfortable stay in Takayama! 🤍

Location is good and place is cozy. Hiroto San welcomed us warmly with sake and made us feel at home.

Very large house in a quiet neighborhood of Takayama. Unusual in that it has both Japanese- and Western-style beds / bedrooms. Living room area next to kitchen is also a big plus for large groups. Super clean. Kitchen is well set up for light cooking. 10-15 minutes walk to Takayama station as well as to the scenic areas of town. Higly recommended for large groups - we had 10 stay very comfortably.

Was really nice being able to use the bathhouse. The host was also nice enough to drop us off at the train station when we were checking out.

What can I say - it’s an Iori property! This means excellent customer service, beautiful and thoughtful interior with everything you need at your fingertips! Thank you for making our first trip to Japan so wonderful and memorable!

We really enjoyed our stay. The house is beautiful and looks exactly like the photos. There is a beautiful park directly behind the house, and it snowed while we were there, which was spectacular. Takayama is a relatively small town, so almost everything is walkable from the house. Iori manages several properties in the town and does a great job. I suspect that any property managed by Iori would be a great choice.

Beautiful and comfortable house with a very nice Japanese style in a calm and walkable location. The host was very friendly and picked us up at the train station and then drove us back after check out. The house is at 5 minutes of a supermarket and 20 minutes walking from the old town of Takayama.

Wonderful experience staying at Villa Mitoreya. It's not your usual Airbnb, it's a lot more. The house is amazingly built with beautiful views and Tsuyoshi was an excellent host. He was present to welcome us, he went out of his way to drive us to a nearby restaurant so we didn't have to worry about parking and having a drink. His breakfast were delicious with many small details. It was like having a personal chef at home. We really enjoyed the peaceful environment and watching the local train pass in front of the house. It was like being in a Ghibli movie.

It's an amazing place for longer stays. Our group of 6 (male, 20s) thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Compared to other places, what made it stand out to us were the living room, large bathroom and multiple toilets, and combination washer-dryer. Communication during our stay was also excellent and a problem with the microwave was resolved quickly. While the location is great for visiting nearby attractions like Kenrokuen and as a base for driving out of the city, there are better options if you plan to take the train out multiple times. Parking is out front and fit our Toyota Alphard. Our group didn't have any significant complaints.
