The Captain's House

Welcome to Skipstjórahúsið – one of the most elegant and historic houses in Þingeyrar. The house has four cozy bedrooms, a kitchen, a dining room and a living room where you can relax after the adventures of the day. There is a bathtub with shower in the downstairs bathroom. But a toilet on the upper floor. It should be noted that there is a steep staircase to the upper floor where the accommodation is located. Whether you want to stay in a cozy room or rent the whole house for a family, a group of friends, or a business trip – Skipstjórahúsið is a great choice.

Sæból remote farm, Westfjords

Sæból is a historic farm in one of the most remote parts of Iceland. Visitors will find a truly authentic experience of life in the Westfjords, past and present. It provides amazing access to the mountains and the sea, and the opportunity to enjoy the remoteness and quiet that make the Westfjords so special. In Sæból lives a friendly sheep farmer known as Bettý (my mother) and she is the last remaining resident of Ingjaldssandur. She also makes beautiful handcrafts that she sells at her house.

A cozy private guest suite perfectly located in Ísafjörður. Near the town center and by the coast, you get the perks of town life while enjoying the calming sound of waves nearby. Limited light pollution gives you a better chance of seeing the Northern Lights without having to go far. The suite consists of a bedroom with a double bed (140 cm), a bathroom, and a hallway with a closet, convertible dining area, fridge, freezer, and electric kettle. A baby cot can be provided upon request.
