The Captain's House

Welcome to the Captain's House – one of the most elegant and historic houses in Þingeyr. The house has four warm bedrooms, a kitchen, a dining room and a living room where you can relax after a day's adventures. A bath with shower is in the downstairs toilet. But toilet on upper floor. It can be noted that there is a steep staircase to the upper floor where accommodation is. Whether you want to stay in a warm room or rent the entire house for a family, a group of friends, or a work trip – the Captain's House is a great option.

Sæból remote farm, Westfjords

Sæból is a historic farm in one of the most remote parts of Iceland. Visitors will find a truly authentic experience of life in the Westfjords, past and present. It provides amazing access to the mountains and the sea, and the opportunity to enjoy the remoteness and quiet that make the Westfjords so special. In Sæból lives a friendly sheep farmer known as Bettý (my mother) and she is the last remaining resident of Ingjaldssandur. She also makes beautiful handcrafts that she sells at her house.

Valley cottage - house

Quite remote house (107 sq.m.), with only a farmer and a gardener as neighbours. Almost nobody around, just birds signing. House is well maintained and nicely equipped. There's a good access to the road, 10m. drive to the shop, a bus communication. It has a spacy driveway. It's in a distance of a rental electric scooters and for all active guests -house has two bikes available to take trips. High quality bed linen is always ironed and fresh upon arrival, washed in a local laundry store.

The house stands on 80 hectares of ground where you'll find beautiful views, scenic hiking trails, and spectacular natural beauty and tranquility all around, all year around. There is access to a private beach with private road to it. The area is sensitive in the summer time because of eider birds and needs to be treated carefully and with respect.
