I came to Gifu in 2018, I think it was it’s unpretentiousness that attracted me . The people here seem relaxed and easy going, hospitable and very much in love with their hometown which in the Gifu park area retains much of the (Kyoto like) feeling of traditional Japan with it’s castle and a host of well maintained shrines. I don't think many people have heard of Gifu, even Japanese people, inspite of the Great heritage sights like Shirakawago, beautiful mountains and clear water rivers!

古い建物ですが宿泊するお部屋はリノベーションしてます。 JR名古屋駅から快速電車で10分、尾張一宮駅から徒歩6分とアクセス良好。名鉄電車ですとセントレアから乗り換えなしで名鉄一宮駅まで約50分。JR岐阜駅も10分と近いので、こちらを拠点にいただいてのおでかけにも便利です。 1階のリビングは約40㎡、2階の寝室は約65㎡。 リビングには漫画が約3000冊、地上波テレビは見れませんがNetflixが見れるので長期滞在もおすすめです。 寝室はシングルベッドが8台、2段ベッドが1台、敷布団が3つ、合計13人の方が宿泊可能です。 一宮市は「尾州イチノミヤ」として、ウールなどを使用した毛織物の世界三大産地として有名です。 近所には旧繊維会館を活用したRe-TAiLがあり、一般には流通していないような特殊な糸や生地も購入できたり、繊維工場が運営するテーラーなどもあります。 商店街も隣接しており、また真清田神社などもすぐ近くにありますので、近隣の観光もおすすめです。
