Beautiful home to stay in if you're visiting Iceland! The house is in a really quiet location with stunning mountain views, but still super well connected to Reykjavik. Overall, the location is brilliant for exploring different parts of the country. The house itself feels so homey and the hot tub overlooking the mountains was definitely an extra highlight! 😄 Lonnie was super responsive and friendly in all her messages, so if you're looking for a home away from home in Iceland, I can definitely recommend this one! ✨️

A lovely, peaceful place right on the Golden Circle tucked between a serene lake and a few friendly horses. The setting was absolutely beautiful and felt like a true escape.

Our 4 night stay in Larus’ Lakefront Villa & nearby attractions of the Golden Circle were one of the highlights of our trip-we highly recommend! His home is spectacular in every way, including a hot tub, sauna, a large living room/gathering space w/well appointed kitchen. Directly on a lake, without others in close proximity, it’s ideal for those that want to experience the splendor of this part of Iceland more privately. As a host, Larus goes above & beyond! We had brought some equipment to fish the river 100 yards away, but not small enough tackle. When we emailed him asking location of a tackle shop, after returning from a daily activity, we were surprised & delighted to find 2 more rods & 2 new trays of tackle appropriate for the trout in the river; giving 4 of our group the chance to do some fishing in Iceland. What a beautiful, secluded location. We LOVED the natural hot springs hot tub on the property. There is nothing you need to do to use it, just take the cover off and enjoy. The place was comfortable, cozy, and clean. Great blackout curtains. Had a little trouble using Google Maps to find it, but instructions proactively given by the host helped for sure. Close to Geysir and Gullfoss. Maybe stock up on groceries before you come, although there is a small grocery store in Flúðir. We highly recommend this place!

This house is beautiful and the view is amazing. We loved soaking in the hot tub while gazing at the glacier in the distance, surrounded by trees. There are stairs to access the house, but we were able to navigate them just fine. The nearby town had a lovely spa, Laugarvatn Fontana, that we enjoyed, and we recommend the restaurant Linden. We stayed two nights and wish we could have stayed longer. The host was responsive and friendly. Highly recommend!

What a wonderful place and in the perfect location for exploring the Golden Circle. The house was plenty big for the eight adults in our group, and we were all able to spread out, but also come together for meals and games. Although we didn’t use it, the hot tub was a great amenity. Our host was wonderful and very responsive when I contacted her with a question before booking and also when I needed to turn off the security system. We would highly recommend staying here.

Hrafn's home was a great place to stay for our first visit to Iceland. Centrally located in Reykjavik, just minutes from the downtown area.

We had an absolutely amazing stay at this Airbnb along the Ring Road in Iceland! The location is nothing short of spectacular — surrounded by breathtaking landscapes that changed beautifully with the light throughout the day. Whether it was the snow-capped mountains, wide open skies, or distant waterfalls, every view from the property felt like a scene from a movie. The place itself was clean, cozy, and well-equipped with everything we needed for a comfortable stay. After long days of exploring Iceland’s natural wonders, it was the perfect spot to relax and recharge. What truly made our experience special, though, was the host. They were incredibly welcoming, knowledgeable, and genuinely cared about making sure we had the best experience possible. Their local tips and stories added so much to our trip — we felt like guests, not just customers. Highly recommend staying here if you’re exploring Iceland via the Ring Road. It’s a peaceful retreat with world-class views and hospitality.

Good house for 9 people. Very clean

We absolutely loved every second of our stay at Eugenias beautiful home. From the gorgeous exterior to the perfect layout to the sauna/hottub/cold plunge with the babbling stream running alongside. Magical! The setting was incredibly stunning and was truly one of our favorite views in all of Western Iceland. Close enough to Reykjavik while still feeling a world away. How lucky we felt to call it home each day we returned from exploring. Traveling as a family of five with three young children (9, 7, 6) we were also grateful for the lovely amenities (legos!) that made our time at home extra enjoyable for the kids. Enjoying a coffee each morning with the incredible views of the snow capped mountains was such a treat as was a night of Northern Lights! We've traveled to many Airbnbs across the world and Eugenia tops the list as the most helpful, kind, thoughtful host we've encountered. Being able to stay in her home felt so authentically Iceland and made for the most memorable trip!

This house is amazing… it stood out among 3 airbnbs we used this trip… comfortable, well stocked (foosball, great kitchen amenities, quality towels linens and beds) and in an exquisite location on a small cliff with great panoramic views of far-off snow capped mountains. Hosts were responsive when we tripped the circuit breaker and helped us quickly get power back. I have literally zero complaints and so many things i lived about this house!!! Many thanks to these gracious hosts!

We had an incredible stay at this beautiful cabin! The space was spotless, peaceful, and surrounded by stunning natural scenery. It offered the perfect mix of seclusion and convenience—quiet and relaxing, yet close to great attractions and things to do in the area. Mattias was an amazing host, he catered to my every needs and also gave me regular updates on weather conditions. He also gave me supermarket recommendations which were on the way from the airport, which was very helpful.

Birgir's cabin is very snug & warm -- festive with bright red lights -- everything in its nook -- and an amazing perch to see across the valley & short drive to the fjord. Our trip was at the end of December and most days/nights were snowy & with some rain -- very beautiful, but definitely take heed of Birgir's cautions about driving in such weather (which held true, even as we had rented a 4-wheel drive Jeep!) -- it is a steep hill up to the cabin, and we did get stuck on our 2nd to last day -- but fortunately the neighbors in the house down the way were incredibly helpful & we got the car out! We enjoyed exploring Akranes & Borganes. We also did see the northern lights on the one clear night -- beautiful to see the green shimmering curtain of light above the steppes/mountains across the valley. Birgir was both proactive and very responsive.

We had such a great time, the cabin exceeded expectations in every way! Lilja was very responsive and helpful for any questions we had. The most beautiful surroundings and so peaceful! We enjoyed the hot tub, dart board and pool table. We even got to see the auroras on 2 separate nights which was a real highlight! The kitchen is small with a small over, this didn’t matter for us but could be useful to know if you were not planning to go out much. Thank you for a wonderful stay. I would highly recommend this cabin!!

Really comfortable cabin in an exceptional location with fantastic view. If you enjoy Scandinavian style comfort and solitude in a scenic lakeside setting then this is the place. Everything was as described, very easy to find with the precise satnav directions from the hosts. The sauna, hot tub and decking chairs overlooking the lake are a real plus. Ivar was a responsive host. Nearest town for shops and restaurants is approx 25 min drive. Be aware that the wooden steps leading down to the cabin from the parking place are quite steep and with no handrail.

I loved staying at Thor's cabin. It was exactly what I needed for a relaxing weekend. Beautiful place, incredible scenery. Their well maintained cabin is privately located in the Fjord, but not to far way from surrounding towns. They have a great outdoor space, and the coziest indoor setting. Thank you! Hope to be back again!

Jon was a very responsive host. We had a few questions and he immediately replied to all of them. The place was perfect for us. Spent the nights in the hot tub seeing the northern lights. Great central location to a lot of things.

Tumi was extremely helpful the entire experience, offering more than what was even offered on the listing. We seriously appreciate all the effort that was made to make our last day in Iceland as easy and stress free as possible. If I had to say one thing, it is that the location of this rental is a bit confusing to get to. Offering slightly better instructions would be extremely helpful, but overall was a perfect distance from the airport and offered everything needed for an affordable stay - plus a hot tub!
