Relax and enjoy your stay in a bright, modern cottage with windows overlooking the river and a wraparound deck. Whether you are looking to relax along the river, explore Hyde Park historic properties or discover the incredible natural beauty of the Hudson Valley, this cottage is an ideal escape.
“This cottage was in a truly phenomenal setting. Once my husband and I walked in, we right there & then decided to not leave again until it was time to check out... we just starred at the Hudson... whether in bed, at the dining table, or on the deck... it was mesmerizing and just what we needed. One night in particular offered a truly spectacular sunset! And we did end up going out for one afternoon of exploring the grounds of Eleanor Roosevelt's home & the Vanderbilt Mansion... both wonderful. A huge thanks to Jim who was super accommodating, responsive, and welcoming throughout. We had a lovely time and can't wait to return!!”
Discover a mix of modernity and history in this re-imagined barn built in the 1870s. The home features original architectural beams and exposed brick, a cozy fireplace, a back porch, wood finishes, a vibrant use of color, and a BBQ.
“Zack’s Woodstock cabin was the perfect upstate retreat. The house had everything we needed for a relaxing, socially distanced stay. All of the rooms are tastefully decorated with every amenity you might need. I especially appreciated the historical artwork and memorabilia. The kitchen was well-stocked. The fireplace was amazing to have, especially since we had cooler weather during our visit. The yoga room is great. Our dog loved the screened-in porch and leashed zipline in the backyard.”
This is not for everyone! We offer a small and very private (heated) cabin that sits on a seasonal stream. There is no bathroom, plumbing, or electricity. There is an outhouse. It is not suitable for toddlers, as there is a stream with a steep rocky bank and a narrow bridge without a railing. Lake George (the actual lake) is 1/4 mile away as is a marina (2 closest are Castaway and Fishers). The village with public beaches (and bathhouse) is a 10 min drive. There is a hiking trail from the cabin.
“Thank you so much for allowing us to spend a much needed relaxing long weekend at your place! It’s clear that you put a lot of thought into the location and the amenities as well as the details of the cabin itself. The cabin is comfortable, cozy, and clean. The property is beautiful inside and out. It’s also functional with many hooks and drawers and the way the space is laid out. It was lovely that both of you checked in on us during our stay. It is so considerate that you have added “little touches” such as the battery operated fan and light. The smattering of just enough solar lamps to provide landmarks but not mar the perfect darkness. The various labels around the building and grounds. The black hose allows for the water to warm for washing up. You provided soap, empty separate trash and recycling bins, a few cooking utensils, a grill, two chairs for sitting around the fire, and wood available on site. We slept well on the bed and it was so nice that you provided extra pillows, blankets, and towels. Even paper towels, cleaning wipes, a broom, a vacuum, an indoor trash can. Highly recommended and we can’t wait to stay again!”
