Vacation rentals in Houtkerque

I can only recommend Severine's apartment to everyone! The location is a bit off the beaten track, but if you are looking for peace and nature, this is the place to be! There were chickens, ducks, pheasants, deer and certainly some other animals. The apartment was super clean, absolutely perfectly equipped, the beds comfortable, there was Netflix, Wi-Fi - actually there was just everything. And as the icing on the cake, there were fresh eggs every morning. In 20 minutes, you will be by the sea, in Calais or another beautiful place on the Opal Coast. Supermarkets are also nearby. We had a great time and thank Severine very much!!!

We spent a weekend there and had great memories of it. There is plenty and free (outside of the high season) parking in front of the door. The cottage was neat, and we were pleasantly surprised that the beds were already made! Recommended

Great place to stay,all very easy walking to shops,train station and into the centre itself. Easy parking in garage which fitted our Toyota RAV4 in without a problem. the house itself is very open plan & very well appointed with everything you need including aircon. Two minor things is first sound travels in such a open planned area all the way up (our son could here us talking in his top floor bedroom) so we had to be aware when in kitchen, also trains do pass through regular but this stops at certain time and we wasn't disturbed at night. These were minor issues and would definitely use again.

We greatly enjoyed it! The penhouse was beautiful, practically furnished for children (trip stairs, baby cot, children's crockery, games,... was all present). It was neat and clean and the dike is close by, but the shops are also opposite the penthouse. Katleen was very easy to reach and was quick to respond. We even forgot something and were fortunately able to get back in thanks to her. Recommended and repeatable! Thank you K&K.

Clean place with everything I needed for a short stay

Apartment as described and clean. The interior layout is very well thought out, the sea view is present almost everywhere including in the room. We were careful not to bring sand into the accommodation but a water point to rinse ourselves at the backyard would have helped us greatly. The remote control attached to the keys may need to open access to the back of the building but the batteries certainly need to be replaced. If the opportunity arises, we'll be happy to go back. We loved visiting Dunkirk and it’s history. The apartment added to that sense of history with its location and interesting features and helped to bring the Dunkirk story to life. The apartment had everything we needed for our stay. We parked very close by and everything was within walking distance . Great location to visit the main attractions and buses are free if you want to go out further to visit the Dunkirk war cemetery. Dunkirk has an amazing number of great beach bars and restaurants literally 5 minutes from the apartment which was great. A perfect place to stay whether you’re a couple like us or if you had children. We could see it would be a perfect place to bring children along too. Sylviannne has thought of everything .

This was the perfect place for my family and I to stay at on our way to the UK via the Chunnel. The place was clean. The backyard is very spacious and beautiful which my kids enjoyed running around in. Was a very good value and I would stay here again. I regret that we left my little girl’s favorite blanket behind during our rush out to catch our train. If any future guests find it (grey with unicorns and a stitched border by my beloved grandmother) I would be more than happy to pay for their trouble in calling me to arrange pickup. We had a wonderful weekend with 9 people. In the stylishly furnished house, we lacked nothing. Due to the wonderful weather, we could even enjoy the very well-equipped garden (numerous seating options). We also enjoyed the walking distance to the sea and to facilities such as good butchers, bakeries and Spar. We felt very comfortable. Thanks very much to our hosts
