Our hotel is located in the town of Mosfellsbaer only 10 min drive from Reykjavík city center. Our town has a great swimming pool, loads of grocery stores, bakery, gas station, pharmacies, restaurants and all the basic service you need during your travels. Only 30 min drive to Thingvellir National Park on your travels to the Golden Circle. Geysir and Gullfoss waterfall are approximately 60-90 minute drive from our hotel. From our hotel you get a direct access to the main ring road in Iceland "road number 1".

I´m originally from the north of Iceland from Siglufjörður. In 1960 I appeared on TV for a comedy Christmas song and was an entertainer & comedian for many years. The hotel started as the only local pub 50 years ago. I was awarded the man of the year from our local town Mosfellsbaer in 2008, the year the hotel was built, prior to the growth in tourism in Iceland.
I am the father of 4 children, 6 grand children and 1 great grand child. At 72 I am a young man, fit and always active around the hotel.
