Kid-friendly vacation rentals in Hollywood Hills, Los Angeles

My daughter and I have vacationed in the Hollywood Hills for many years, but this was our first time to stay in Serena's lovely home. The foliage covering the pergola created a wonderful space to sit and enjoy the scenery, and the hummingbirds were a joy to watch each morning. The photos were spot-on, and we would definitely love to stay here again. We recommend it highly!

Casey is an amazingly good business man! He was extremely communicative, professional, friendly, empathetic and responsive. Literally the ideal host. The location is wildly perfect for a recharging getaway that’s near strip malls. The home is very close to Ventura Rd. and near freeways so relatively quickly to get to destinations. Inside the home, the view over the city is spectacular. The place was roomy and relaxing. There is great space for entertaining and hanging with family. Casey made the stay nice. Would certainly recommend it for anyone considering a stay in LA.

I am so happy we stayed at Michael’s place! It was the perfect getaway from the hustle and bustle. The proximity to Universal Studios was so nice as well. Easy to get a Lyft or Uber. House was beautiful, outdoor space was relaxing. Very safe and private neighborhood. The bed was DIVINE. We will definitely stay here again.

The host was incredibly welcoming and attentive, making me feel comfortable and at ease! The charming decor and abundant natural light created a cozy atmosphere. The well-equipped kitchen made meal preparation easy, and the inviting living area was perfect for relaxation. The location was excellent, with many attractions and restaurants nearby. I highly recommend this Airbnb and look forward to returning.

Hallgrim was a very gracious host. We were moving from another Airbnb & needed a place to stow our refrigerated food for 3 hours. He easily accommodated that & ultimately said we could just check in early. One caveat - be sure you understand the street parking protocol. It works but it can be tight, especially late at night. We always found a spot but you will need good parallel parking skills. The house is personal & eclectic & you will feel like you are staying at a good friend’s house. This is not the usual “just the basics” corporate Airbnb. It is a home. My daughter & I felt very comfortable staying here & would definitely book it again. The Canyon has a unique history. In addition to looking thru the beautiful coffee table book Hallgrim has left out for his guests to enjoy, you must watch Echo in the Canyon for an extended stroll through the musical history of this unique canyon. You’ll be singing Mamas and Papas songs on your way down to Lilly’s Cafe in no time!

We want to say a huge thank you to these unbelievable hosts. Their house is incredible, they were very fast to respond to all inquiries, we desperately needed a crib and they came over to put one together for us. These are really amazing hosts with beautiful home. I would definitely recommend this property to anyone looking for an Airbnb in LA! Thank you again!

Perfect stay for our weekend in Hollywood. Walking distance to all of the clubs we wanted to go to, and So peaceful. The jacuzzi area was SO nice. We could have spent our whole trip out there just enjoying the view. We basically lived out there when we were “home”. Communication was perfect, making our checkin, and our stay, stress free. Would 100% stay again!

This was a rare and terrific find for universal city! Super close to both Warner and universal for work, or for entertainment if you’re looking to explore the park. Great eating places nearby, quiet, and great views! If you love the mid century modern feel, design, aesthetic as much as I do, this is your spot!

Was very close to the palladium where I attended a concert, got lucky with an overnight parking lot for $20. The room smelled amazing, the couch was comfy, the bathroom is huge with plenty of towels. It’s close to all the action in Hollywood! Would absolutely stay here again

I stayed at Taylor and Don’s for a week. I had come from Marina del Ray (staying with a friend) so had got used to that side of LA. If you’re from Melbourne AUS - it’s like Southside vs Northside. Coming to the other side as a woman traveling alone, I wasn’t sure what to expect with the area. But Taylor and Don were like instant friends; welcoming, super helpful, answered all my ‘can I walk alone at night questions’ and I felt super safe in their apartment. Plus I really enjoyed our other chats when I did run into them briefly. The apartment has everything you need. It’s cosy and warm when it’s cold and wet (random couple of rainy days); nice and cool after being out in the LA heat all day. The space is well thought out, aesthetically pleasing & has the best views to watch the sunset with a glass of vino. Plus it’s so close to good coffee & croissants (Doubting Thomas). It was also really easy for me to get to and from the galleries/sites/bars/shops etc on my list. Sooo I’ll be back!

Second time here, couldn’t be happier with this unit / location. One of the best buildings in the area. Will continue to be back!

Maggie was an exceptional host. Any thing that we needed or if anything happened she was one phone call away. The location was awesome and perfectly described. We loved our entire experience and we would most definitely stay at this location again.

This place was exactly as I was expecting it. A beautiful home in old Hollywoodland! Elizabeth was very responsive and accommodative. I found everything I need. I definitely want to go back!

Sarah’s place was great! Very clean with easy check in instructions. Space is cute with easy parking and close to shops/restaurants. Would definitely stay again!

Absolutely fantastic place to stay! I beautiful, peaceful, quiet, comfortable, private space to come back to after a long day. Jane puts a lot of care in all the details to make it a very comfortable stay. Right in the cinema heart of Burbank. Would definitely stay here again!

Pari’s place is bigger than it appears in the photos- really nice space. Modern and comfortable, fully outfitted kitchen, and plenty of towels/amenities. Contrary to other reviewers, I didn’t find the parking to be tough. I rented an SUV and just backed into the space without a problem - I can see how it would be tough for someone if they headed in- just do a three point turn up front and you’ll be fine :) One last comment- the location can’t be beat! Walking distance to so much (including one of my favorite restaurants, Green Street). And less than 15 minutes to Occidental College, where I was attending events. Great stay. Thanks Pari!

We were in LA for business meetings. Before we make a reservation, we compared Ali's condo with the other condos surrounding. He is the most responsive and most helpful host, and we are so glad and lucky that we made a correct selection and book Ali's house. He likes a local friend who provided us with not only assistance/guidance on check-in and staying but also touring and catering advice. He is super responsive, proactively reaching out to us offering additional help, and so friendly. The place is clean, comfortable, and welcoming. Guests can tell from the tasty design, details of guidance, and thoughtful and convenient amenities that Ali and his wife have spent great time and effort to make this place as welcoming and cozy as possible. This place is definitely our stay for next visit, regardless for business or private. The location is close to everything, peaceful, and in walking distance to my LA office and everything.

Absolutely thrilled about our stay here. It’s a beautiful condo with the best LA decor. Everything was clean and comfortable. Also- Having a WORKING washing machine in an Airbnb was a game changer! The rooftop views- wow!! How cool to have a pool and hot tub on the roof! There is also no reason to feel unsafe at this location (I saw other reviews with some worries). The security at the front desk was AMAZING. They will not let anyone in that is not supposed to be in the building. They eventually know you by name and greet you. They walked me outside to show me exactly how to get to the convenient parking garage provided by the host. (The parking garage is just as secure!) I could go on and on about our experience- but it will only allow me to write so much! Thank you so much Brandon! We will be back! If you want to stay downtown LA- stay here.

Booked for the rooftop pool view and it did not disappoint. The parking spot was a nice bonus. The unit itself was nice. Comfy bed, big tv, very clean. As others mentioned, it’s very bright; bring an eye mask if you don’t want to be up with the sunrise.

This place was absolutely beautiful with an amazing view of the water! Beach access was also great to have very close by! It was great being able to fall asleep with the sound of the waves! Amazing air bnb to stay at!
