Sænautasel gives you a opportunity to experience living as people did in the olden days in Iceland. You should therefore be aware that there is no electricity. Everybody is sleeping in “Baðstofan”, which the space over the kitchen is called in Icelandic. Breakfast and/or Dinner is available for extra charge. You need to book this in advance at least 2 days prior. If you decide to book 2 nights you should be aware that Sænautasel functions as a guided museum from 12-17 PM.

We provide linen, towels, tea and Coffee for no extra charge. The surrounding area consists of a river, trees, northern lights, beautiful nature and during the winter time you might even see some reindeers wandering around.

It's a big old house on two floors and a basement. There is a large platform with furniture and a gas grill. A balcony from the lounge with a cool view of the fjord. A fenced yard with lots of trees and a nice playground. There is a playground next to the park. Coffee shop is open in Sunbrekka in the summer from 15 June to 10 August, where you can enjoy light refreshments.
