The Absolutely Perfect Get-Away! LA VALENTINA

We had a great week at Mayte's place. She and her employees were always present and attentive to our needs (without being present). Our privacy was their priority. We were allowed with products and local cuisine. I liked that we had extra clean towels.. The kitchen is very well equipped. It is a very fresh and spacious house, the gardens are very well-kept, there were 2 bicycles at our disposal, charcoal and firewood. The pool was cleaned daily by the pool daily. We were able to enjoy the silence of the countryside and a wonderful full moon. All in all, we spent a few relaxing and very well-maintained days. Thanks again Mayte and we will surely be back.

Débora is an excellent host, very friendly and attentive, the place is very nice, clean and quiet, you must bear in mind that there is a lot of nature around so you have to get along with insects that are part of the nature of the place.

Milton had a great place. Very peaceful! Lucio, his caretaker was very helpful. We had dinner next to the pool and it was nice. We especially loved the little brown dog, who was super sweet and just the perfect little dog. Milton was very responsive and gave helpful local suggestions.

We loved the property, the photos didn't do it justice since it was better than we expected. We loved the privacy. The fact that there are bathrooms in each room is super convenient. The pool is excellent, the kitchen is super-equipped. We had an amazing time and Vicky, who was our host, did an excellent job. She was 100% attentive and available, super friendly and made us feel very welcome. Izamal was a resting place for our family and the estate undoubtedly made our vacation comforting. We look forward to returning.

The space is exactly as it is in the photos. Boutique hotel quality. The location in the mere center steps from the historic center and the Exconvento, close to restaurants, shops and pharmacies. Safe area and in the quiet evenings. We were delighted and Jorge and his family were very kind and helpful at all times. We are grateful to them for such fine attentions and delighted with their villas. It's simply “the place” to go in Izamal .

Marco was the most wonderful host. He showed me all around Izamal and even climb to the top of a pyramid with me. His wife is also delightful and the place is perfectly located for walking. You are five minutes from the main plaza and five minutes from one of the largest footprints of a pyramid in all of the Yucatán. Even though that I’m back in the United States, I still keep thinking about Marco’s wonderful AirBnb and the beautiful city of Izamal where I now have friends.

i travel regularly to Izamal, and I have tried several accommodations, undoubtedly house tamarindos is the best, the place is very spacious, very nice, the cenote type pool of fresh water is appreciated in that climate. I travel with pets and they really enjoy the nature of the place.

Interesting place in the heart of the Mayan world, surrounded by crystal clear ceñotes. I had some trouble using the shower, and there is very little reception for the TV… but that is expected in such a remote Mayan town. The hosts are very helpful and are willing to bend over backwards to make sure you are happy. There was initially some difficulty finding the place, but that might have something to do with the app and not the host. The shower was clogged, but after swimming all day in a ceñote I didn’t feel dirty anyways.

A translucent pool is featured in the outdoor area, surrounded by a concrete deck. The shallow end is separated by wooden posts, creating an inviting space for relaxation. Nearby greenery and a well-maintained lawn provide a natural backdrop to the pool area.

simple room, Mayan house

Hotel Kocai is a beautiful and private oasis amidst the yellow desert. The pool is cool and perfect for the weather, which is hot regardless of the season, and the staff are friendly and proactive. The room itself was incredible and it has all you need. Location can be tough to manage if you are carrying big luggage and were dropped off at the city center by the bus or train taxi service, but you can always get a 2 dollar taxi from the main square, just make sure it’s daytime as Izamal is a small town that, other than Sundays (festive weekend day for locals) will be dead by 10PM. Overall would definitely stay there again!

Super accommodation, close to the Cenotes. The gentleman is always very attentive offering his services, although it is not a luxury apartment it is well maintained with everything you need and very comfortable.
