Places to stay in Hillsboro

This house is absolutely beautiful. It is decorated very tastefully and had everything we needed. Loved the fire pit and the ability to see all of the stars without extra ambient light sources. The smores fixings that were provided was a very nice touch. We loved the quiet location, but some might find the distance from the nearest town (about 15 minutes) a slight negative. We personally loved driving through the beautiful countryside, seeing the Amish with their horse drawn buggies and just planned our activities appropriately so we were able to get the supplies we needed when we were near a town. Jenn and Amber have literally thought of everything. Attention to detail only begins to describe their home from the decorating to the amenities and comfort of beds and fully stocked kitchen with pans and utensils. The house was immaculate and their detailed instructions for how everything works were greatly appreciated. We would look no further than Hawsin Haven when we are back in the Baraboo area. Great value for what you get in this upscale house and setting.

We really enjoyed our overnight stay at the cottage . The space was well appointed and very clean. We enjoyed the outdoor fire pit as well. The road noise was a bit bothersome when we were outdoors but once inside it wasn’t as noticeable. The proximity to La Crosse made it easy for dinner out .

The host was very responsive, plenty of space, beautiful backyard, hot tub working, plenty of utensils and dish ware if you’re planning to cook.

This was a perfect place to stay for a little friends reunion with our littles.

Very nice place and location, just a couple miles off Main Street so it was quiet and easy to get to any attractions. Place was very clean, quiet and accommodating.

As advertised. Very conveniently located in viroqua, walkable distance to many amenities (coffee shop, fly shop, groceries, Walgreens). Nice central place to rest after fishing.

Cute little cabin near a lake in the WI Dells. It was too cold to use the lake or the pool but they were both very convenient.

We had so much fun at our stay!! The place is extremely clean and has a brand new kitchen & new appliances. It's nice having a full bathroom downstairs & upstairs. The upstairs bedroom is lofted so the kids enjoyed seeing if various items of theirs could fly :)) There was a Roku box on both tvs upstairs and downstairs so it was easy to watch shows/movies. Wifi was solid. Its an easy walk to the activity center. They have tennis courts, pickleball, basketball, racquetball, pool & hot tub along with changing facilities; all free to reserve/use. You could probably spend all week here and never leave! It was our first time here so we did all the touristy things and loved it: Bellos Circus, Rick Wilcox Magic Theater, WizardQuest, Ripleys, Mirror Maze, Big Chief Gokarts, Kalahari Waterpark, Frischs BigBoy etc! It was super convenient having a walmart, DD, kohls, McDs, Ross etc so close. The house was very quiet. Be sure to bring shampoo and any food condiments, otherwise everything is here.
