Places to stay in Hico

Overall, Dawn was very responsive when I had a question or wanted to communicate with her. I did read a review in which there were cobwebs throughout the house and unfortunately that still holds true especially in the bathrooms, however it didn’t take away from the overall experience. The home looks newly remodeled and had great amenities. There were 2 single kayaks which were great to explore the lake. I would definitely consider staying here again!

Beautiful decor! Great location and access to the lake! Gracious and responsive hosts! An absolute green light decision for a family to stay at Lake Granbury.

Our second stay was as great as our first! So much to do for everyone in our family from ages 3 to 65! There was a maintenance issue on our first night, which was Friday of Easter weekend. Jaimee and Michael were immediately responsive and had an electrician to fix the problem within a couple hours. Such great service! The house and grounds are large, comfortable, and offer so much to do both inside and out. So fun and relaxing. Has everything you need (bring your own firewood for fire pit and chunk charcoal for BGE). Has amenities not even listed like puzzles, outdoor games, pool toys, and life jackets. You won’t be disappointed!

This home was exactly what we were looking for! It was comfortable and cozy and made us feel right at home. My husband loved fishing off the dock, the screen porch was incredible, and we loved our time together.

Beautiful home on lake Granbury. Enjoyed the house and the neighborhood was peaceful. Nice 7 min walk to the boat ramp. The place was very clean and had everything we needed plus some.

I can’t say enough wonderful things about this stay! From the moment we arrived, everything was perfect — the home is absolutely stunning, beautifully maintained, and incredibly spacious. It felt both luxurious and cozy, with every amenity you could possibly need thoughtfully provided. What truly made it special was how safe and welcoming it felt — especially traveling with my dog, Stella. She loved it just as much as I did! The space was pet-friendly without sacrificing any comfort or style, which is rare to find. The owners were amazing — so kind, responsive, and genuinely invested in making sure our stay was great. I left feeling completely relaxed, recharged, and already planning my return. If you’re looking for a peaceful, beautiful place to unwind (with or without a pup!), this is it.

The Lone Star Cabin was a great place for me and my father on our Father/Daughter weekend. We enjoyed watching the sunrise from the front porch and the sunsets from the back deck. And there were tons of birds to watch! The house was clean, spacious, and had everything we needed. We also appreciated the guide book with all the local recommendations. Granbury is a cute town and worth a visit!

Very beautiful home with an easy walk to the square. We really enjoyed sitting on the front porch enjoying the quiet neighborhood. Bathrooms were beautiful and spa like. Kitchen was amazing and well stocked. Would 100% stay here again.
